Zion close & quite satisfactory
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/08
This is the gateway to Zion from the east. We had planned on driving to Kanab but decided to give this a shot. We are glad we did! The staff was super, the hotel almost empty (it is off season) and the room we stayed in had been recently refurbished. We only stayed the night but the room was clean and quiet and the beds as comfortable as one can expect. The diner connected to the hotel has it's own charm (its not a 5 star but the food was good and the portions good sized) several locals stopped by for breakfast and were quite pleasant & friendly... Overall worth the $ and it saved us 40 miles to Kanab and put us significantly closer to our destination in Zion. PS. as I recall it is not a pet friendly hotel so I would call ahead...

Diamond in the rough..

We love this motel. Always very clean, spacious, and beautiful scenery. We stumbled across this motel years ago and have gone back year after year. My kids love it. Perfect place to stay!

Worth it!
By Cherie, 07/08/08
Pros: - spacious rooms with mini-fridge and sliding glass door, had an almost homey feel - very comfortable beds - accomodating staff - ingenious little single-serve coffee makers in the rooms for a guaranteed-sanitary and decent cup of coffee. - pool and jacuzzi are both nice - surrounded by beautiful landscape and a small golf course...very peaceful. - good showers Cons: - a bit of a drive from Zion National Park...about 45 minutes. - The restaurant food was overpriced and although fresh, was not great...it was okay. Also, its staff is of the same caliber as a frozen yogurt place...young teenage girls with attitude. Kid review: The pool was cool and the room was nice, but there were no good channels on tv.

What a Find!
By hippy biker, 07/05/08
Staff went out of their way to help. Rooms were roomy, clean and nicely furnished. Bed was comfy too. Our balcony was very private and facing the golf course, our friends balcony faced the pool area and they loved it. They were very bike friendly and had laundry room too. There was a gas/convenience store on premises. We had all our meals in the hotel and the HO-made pies are delious!Lots to do in the imediate area, Zion,Bryce, fishin and swimmin holes too. Oh ,we especially enjoyed all the kids, family and employees I guess. Polite and very cute!! Will highly recommend.

Great Location...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/07
Awfull Service. Would never stop there again! The cafe was the worst. Motorcycle people beware. There are no other restaurants for miles, so you are stuck in the middle of nowhere. Left, rather than put up with bad service/attitude.

One of My Favorite Hotels!
By Michele, 04/20/07
A great location to see Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. The hotel is nice, rooms are clean and large, and the views are spectacular. The rooms are practically on the golf course, the pool and jacuzzi are wonderful and the amenities are nice. The food is okay, the pie to die for and the coffee hot and plentiful. They have a great gift shop, a Chevron Station shares the property and a small convinience store is right across the street.

The hotel was delightful. The staff was warm and welcoming. We could not have been more pleased with the rooms, the meals and the area.

Awesome Location and Best Western Quality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/05
I was in the center of paradise. Zion National Park was just minutes away and Bryce Canyon, in the other direction, was only 60 miles. I stayed for 2 weeks and hiked in Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Coyote Buttes and the new Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. I also visited the sand dunes. The hotel was very nice and the staff was exceptional. The rooms are on a very nice golf course and mountains surround the valley. I loved everything about my stay from the quality rooms to the area. There was free internet use in the lobby, a great pool and hot tub, wonderful golf and prices.
