Wow! The Place To Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/09
One must understand why they stay in a hotel! They must also understand what they are looking for. With the Westin Galleria, you are paying for location and location, and I might add, the rates here are reasonable. As a fan of the Dallas Fort Worth Metro, I understand where I want to be and where I want to go! No place is better to start from than the Westin G. The renovation is hip and makes for an added stay! Dallas is a visibility city; the Westin G gives you that visibility and more. In every direction you have the city at your beacon call! The hotel has all the amenities desired and more! Some of the very best shops and restaurants are located near by. Play, work, breath, make this your Dallas stay............. I have traveled all over, you get what you pay for! Fifty dollars, carry down the street…

LOUD!
By EugeneS, 03/09/09
This hotel is horrible. The staff are completely inept (for more reasons than the reason listed below). Our room was had an interior window in it that issued into the hallway of the banquet area. We woke at 11 p.m. to band music from a function that lasted until 2:30 a.m.. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Not worth $199 per night.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/09
My husband and I spent a night at this hotel and all I can say is "this is absolutely not worth $199, $179, $159, $139 or even $109. I wouldn't suggest paying anything over $99 per night for this place. Our room was on the 14th floor. As soon as the elevator doors opened the smell of raw sewage hits your nose. I mean, like how your basement smells after it floods, that's how bad it is. Our room was ok but the bed was really hard (we stayed at a Drury in Houston and that bed was absolutely fantastic). The bathroom door was a heavy, frosted, sliding door versus a regular door and it didn't have a lock on it. The shower had a double shower head but you couldn't adjust them. If you tried, the heads just turned like stripped screws and worst of all the water wasn't nearly hot enough. The shower ran for 15 minutes before it started getting warm and it never got much more than warm. We called the front desk about the sewer smell and the lack of hot water and even though the clerk was very pleasant, she was dumb as a box of rocks. Five minutes of talking to her made us question if we were truly in an "upscale" hotel. One thing though, make sure that you are careful with the refridgerator/cabinet. They have "goodies" (cookies, chips, candy, water, soda) in the fridge/cabinet that are for sale and they are on sensors. If you move/remove the items you will be charged for that item plus a 20% service fee and 8.5% tax. It is automatically added to your bill. Kids tend to grab that stuff without thinking so be careful. On a couple of positive notes, my husband's suit got really wrinkled from the flight and when he sent it down to be pressed (at 10:00pm) they had it back to him by 10:30 pm and didn't charge him for it. Also, if you are a shopper, the hotel lobby leads into the Galleria Mall which is really convenient. The Galleria has more upscale stores, Macy's, Nordstroms, Tiffany's, Gucci, Louis Vuitton etc. and has an ice skating rink right in the center of the mall. This hotel is an upscale hotel wannabe...don't be fooled.

Just love it!
By Mariana, 07/10/08
The hotel is nice and the service is good too. But what's so cool to just be able to go downstairs and be at the mall without even having to drive anywhere. The shopping is great, even though I like Northpark better. Plus it has a very good location, close to everything.

Our stay at the Westin
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/08
Convienent shopping, great rooms, restruants and bar downstairs, loved being able to go shop and have our room just upstairs. My teenage daughter and I had a wonderful mother/daughter shopping weekend. We are planing another trip to the gallaria in April 2008.

Not my cup of tea
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/07
The shopping was the only thing great about this hotel. Very outdated rooms. Service was just ok, nothing special. I did like the restaurant on the first floor, great seafood. This hotel is also very pricey. To pricey for what you receive. The road noise is unbearable.

Great place to stay in Dallas
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/05/06
I love this Westin, stay here everytime I come to dallas. It has a great location, is a beautiful looking property and attached to the galleria mall. You can't beat it. Valet Parking was extremely friendly and efficient. The heavenly bed and shower head were wonderful. Can't say enough about this hotel. I'll keep coming back.

Best Location in Dallas
By Princess, 05/24/06
I was staying in the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The hotel is great, location is perfect specially if you are alone and wants to spend some time this location is perfect, food, shopping, movie, spas every thing is just out there. Front desk was so help full, Good customer servie. I got my room on the 15th floor with corner view. It was very nice outside view at night time. The hotel room was well cleaned specially my bath room was very clean. I would love to stay there again and again. with same top floor location.
