DISAPPOINTED
By Jezabel, 3/7/09
DISAPPOINTED in Quality, Service and Customer Service from Management. We arrived 2/27/09 thru 3/1/09 at room 612 it was very small, cramped, musty, hot and had a funky odor like stale water. The A/C did not work at all. The bathroom was small and cramped and the tub needed to be scrubbed better. The whole room needed to be cleaned better. They were in the room at 1am still trying to fix the A/C and the pollen and dust went everywhere. I could not sleep it was so hot, coughing and hacking due to alergies from the A/C unit being removed from the wall. No other rooms were available. We were promised a call first thing in the morning, no contact, no call. The A/C was not replaced until after 3pm the next day. No follow up from the Hotel we had to call them. The card key did not work 3 times and it had to be replaced. The hotel gave us a coupon for a free breakfast buffet for two. We went exactly when the buffet opened, the bacon, hot cereal and hashbrowns were cold and tasteless. They forgot to turn the steamer table on a major NO NO by the health dept. I asked for fresh cooked food after trying to eat off the buffet. I got food born illness and stayed in bed Saturday sweltering and missing the conference, photo shoot, contest and party completely due to being sick. Over all a very unpleaseant stay and after the fact a 50% off one night's room rate was thrown at us as if we should be greatfull, very unprofessional. It should have been comped 100%. I suggesst upgrading the A/C, upgrading the hotel maids, upgrading the front desk to make clients their top priority and upgrading management to follow thru on promises and service. The only positive experience was the bell boy, he made two trips and was fantastic. Very DISAPPOINTED.

It was worth the price.
By Sarah, 12/19/08
My husband and I stayed here for a recent Cowboys game. I booked about 30 days in advance and had no problems. The $80.00 a night rate was good for what we got. I read many reviews and tried to keep an open mind because alot of them were bad. The place is nice. Newly renovated. Some minor irritations were that the main elevators had some kind of leak...so we used a side elevator instead. They had an upgrade sign and we paid 30 bucks extra for a two night stay making it like $95 a night... to get a suite. Stepped out on the 5th floor and their was a bad odor of stale smoke in the hall but our room had none at all thank goodness. It was nicely furnished w/a small kitchen area, living room w/ pull out couch and bedroom. The bathroom was way too small for a "suite" but we weren't spending much time in there anyhow. The location to the stadium was spot on and we took side roads and parked in the green lot (good walk from lot to stadium though) and avoided ALOT of traffic. A few minutes in and a few out. Breakfast buffet wasn't all that but all in all we would for sure stay again. Sleep number bed rocked and the quality of the linens was great. The TV's sucked and were small and old style and not the flat screens showed in the pics but hey....we weren't watching much tv either. We also went to the Medevil Times which is like a mile down the road...pricey but it was a fun experience...kids would really love it.

Not the Raddisson I Expected!!!!!!!!
By Jamy, 8/20/08
To be quite honest from the moment my family and I stepped into the place, I was quite disappointed. The man at the front desk talked to me like I was dirt because I booked it online and it was a cheaper rate than normal, how is it my fault that his smiling face and their cheap decor is not bringing the business in. It has been about a month since I visited the hotel and I was trying to give my feeling time to cool off but I do not think it will ever happen. I even went so far as to call their customer service line where I was told a manager would be in touch; did that ever happen, of course not. Let me start out by saying looks can be decieving; on the website there are photos of these plush, modern looking rooms, and in all actuality, the rooms look like they have not been cleaned or updated since 1960. The bathroom is small, the walls are paper thin where I could hear everything that went on in the hallway when the drunk party goers were getting back into their hotel rooms. The next day, I went to the restaurant and finally found something good in this hotel which was the coffee although the breakfast buffet sucked as it was dry and not tasty at all. After my family and I got done with the reasons we were in Dallas, we decided to go to the pool; it was a big maze to get out to the pool as they were painting in the middle of July why not wait till fall or winter when the crowds have died down. The pool itself was small and not to clean. I was very unimpressed with this hotel; it is not what you expect from a Raddisson at all!! I was even more disappointed with the response I got after I filled out a survey that they sent for the hotel. They did not even acknowledge any of my concern, so a warning to all who want to enjoy a nice Raddisson hotel do not go to this one on Mockingbird Lane in Dallas as it is falsely advertised and not very well maintained.

Rates, Restaurant & Bathroom
By NickG, 1/25/08
Having spent the evening there recently, to avoid a long drive to and from my home to my office during foul weather, I found the room comfortable & quiet. However, on checking in and being told my rate (99.00 per night), I asked about a senior citizens discount and was told that that rate was 72.00 per night - a 27.00 difference. Asking the young lady why I was not told that on checking in, she replied, "Sir, you don't look like a senior citizen." "Give me a break," I replied. "I'm 71 years old!" Oh, well...I understand the name of that game. The food preparers need some training. The bacon on my BLT tasted like it was a month old. Finally, it's my advice that you provide either rubber mats or non-slip material for the bathtubs, before some ol' geezer like me falls & hurts himself & sues your "alphas" off!

Will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/06
Room # 509 Liked the front desk clerks very courteous. Our housekeeper- Denise is a plus to this establishment. My dislike with this motel is this: We are booked for extended stay--- Nov. 5th - 13th 2006. I have been sick since waking up the first morning. On the 10th I requested my bed be thoroughly stripped and washed and sprayed with a disenfectant thinking maybe there was a germ making me sick. I waited for 3 1/2 hours. No one showed. My housekeeper came back with my linen at 3:30 to make my bed. I told her it had not been sprayed yet, she got right on the phone and called the housekeeping manager. He came up about ten minutes later to find out what was going on I explained to him, he told me it would be taken care of. An hour later I am ask the front desk asking for a manager on duty. 20 minutes after speaking with him and being told he would take care of it right now I am out in a town I know nothing about looking for a store that sells a can of Lysol so I can spray and make my bed myself. This took an hour and a half. Not to mention I had been up since 2 a.m.. Then this morning (Nov. 11th)I get up and take a cold shower! I called the front desk and suggested they call housekeeping and ask them to hold off on laundry because there is no hot water ( I am a former Executive housekeeper)it is now 2 1/2 hours later and there is still no hot water. On top of all this, when we come in from work there is no parking. Have a parking garage that is blocked off. Has been since we have been here. Pool has been locked every day. Needless to say this has not been an enjoyable stay.

Interview Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/04
The Sheraton was a nice hotel. The only problem was my non-smoking room had a "smoke" smell. Also, the shuttle only travels within a 5 mile radius which completely eliminates anything downtown. It was otherwise okay.
