this La Quinta is nasty smells dirty is dirty the rooms were like there were never cleaned man

The toilet in the bathroom still had urine on it when we arrived. Rooms are very run down. Pets are accepted, but the hotel lacks grassy areas to take pets out. Noisy highway traffic. Must be a place construction workers like to stay being there were a lot of men drinking and hanging out outside of rooms. Would not stay here again. Very unsatisfied.

The rooms were run down. The towels were torn and rough. The worst was staying there while the hotel was packed by male stocking/inventory members. Which made it difficult for my sister and I to feel safe. Them men were harrasing us for 2 days. We ended up checking out. Never go back there. The doors were loose and didn't feel secure.

When I got there at 7pm no one was at the front desk. Several people were waiting with me. When the clerk arrived she looked frazzled. I later found out she was the only staff there. I don't blame her. Her manager Mrs. Champine is directly responsible. Under staffed and mismanagement is the problem. Their maintenance man does their audit at night. The attempt to save money is at the expense of customer service. Motel 6 is the service and management practiced there. I am sorry but its upsetting to pay for something and get cheated. Also who is this person that goes by the name "FOR" that gave it rave reviews? Suspicious.

I loved the staff. Swarmed and busy hotel. The Front desk clerk was of great help. Thank you for all your hospitality. Price is great and I recommend this hotel to anyone that likes to budget, and relax!!!

I read the reviews after I had booked my reservation with Hot wire. I was expecting a really bad experience. I even took a can of air freshener. Too my surprise it was a pleasant stay. Yes the buiding was old and there was a musty smell to my room when I entered, but a quick spray with my air freshener and turning on the air, I hardly notice afterwords The desk clerk was friendly and informed me of a choice of the front or back and told me that the back was away from the highway and noise. My room was clean and everything in my room was working. The service was friendly and helpful when I asked for help. Breakfast was OK. Waffles, hard boiled eggs, bagels cold and hot cereals juice, yogurt and fruit. No breakfast meats. Overall I would say it is a food place to stay for a short stay for business trip, truckers and family. I thought for a 2 star it was better than average I did miss having a microwave and cooler

The entire room smelled musty and moldy. There was mold in the closet on the walls. Not enough towels in the bathroom had to ask for more. Will not stay here again.

We stayed at La Quinta South for two days and had a great time. Swam in the pool a couple times and it was so nice. Breakfast was wonderful! Even signed up to be a returns member! Cleaning crew was excellent, it was very clean and quite. Very short drive to Padre Island, USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium! The price was the best!

Even though I had read all reviews posted here I thought maybe it wasn't that bad. Jesus... this was the worst La Quinta I've ever stayed. Old, expensive, mold, dead roaches (some others alive), lots of noise from the highway, not very cleen sheets and pillows. Believe me, Find another place to stay.

Although the hotel comes at a very inexpensive price, what can u expect. When I first walked into my room i saw mold on cealing right above my bed. The internet was very poor.It was in bad need of refurbishing. Just when i thought it could't get any worse i found a cockaroach on the curtains. on a personal note(it was a little bigger than the size of my thumb). But by far NEVER again will i come to a "La Quinta Hotel" again!
