Days Inn Alice, Alice

Okay I arrived at my room only to find a couple of rats running around in it, my refiderator didn't work and my shower leaked instead of showered. The room smelled horrible as well as the entire wing i was in. The ice machine was broken the day i got there and still broken the day i left. I stayed a whole week on buisness there sunday thru friday. I couldn't wait to get back to my own bed after the first night. The rat finding got me a new room but the new room had a flaw too. It could be opened without even having a key. Eventually after several tries the maintenance man switched out the lock on my 3rd day and it worked normally after that. STAY AWAY if you can.

In my 55 yrs, this was by far the worst motel/hotel experience I've had with any chain! I have never felt the need to write a review before. I feel it is my duty to warn you & I could use all 4000 characters in doing so! It is filthy & run down (rooms, halls, grounds, towels, you name it)! With temperatures in the 100's, the pool was the "place to be" even though the water was cloudy. Instead of sanitizing the pool & tiding up the area, they locked the gate & left it sit untouched for 3 days with towels laying about! Short staffed with rude &/or incompetent employees. The "manager" was by far the worst of them! There for a family reunion, we had approx 15 rooms...everyone in the group had problems & was disatisfied! Spare yourself & go the Hampton Inn or La Quinta in Alice TX instead!!!!!!

THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND MADE US FEEL RIGHT AT HOME. ANYTIME WE NEED SOMETHING THEY WERE RIGHT THERE TO HELP US IN ANYWAY. THE OVERALL LOOK OF THE HOTEL IS VERY NICE IT HAS GOTTEN SOME UPGRADES THAT ARE REALLY NICE. ME AND MY FAMILY REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. OUR NEXT TRIP TO ALICE YOU CAN REST ASURE THIS IS THE HOTEL WE WILL BE STAYING AT. THANK YOU DAYS INN OF ALICE STAFF YOU WERE TRULY AMAZING. CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN..

I had out of town guests that came to Alice for my son's wedding. They had stayed in the Alice Days Inn many times in the past with no problems. It took the desk clerk 1-1/2 hours to find them a room that was suitable for humans to sleep in. The motel is being "remodeled", but everything had been torn out of the rooms and left in the hall and walkways and smelled of smoke and urine. The reason we had chose this location was because of past reputation. I would sleep in my car before I would stay 10 minutes in that place. The management was very rude and unconcerned about any complaints that were voiced. I have lived in Alice, TX all of my life an I will NEVER recommend The Days Inn of Alice to anyone ever again.

My daughter and I selected this Hotel in April after visiting hotels in the area for her wedding guests. Althought the hotel was under construction, we were told it would be completed by June. It wasn't. Guests were placed in rooms where hallways were uncarpeted and construction resumed at 8:am. In addition, we set aside 10 rooms for wedding guests and 8 rooms were used and paid for by our guests. Two rooms were cancelled in advance. However, the hotel desk clerk did not check our guests in properly and the owner of the hotel charged 4 rooms to my daughters debit card even though we were specifically told this was not hotel policy and she would not be responsible for her guests accommodations. We were told NO rooms would be charged to the card it was soley for the purpose for setting the rooms aside under her name. Hotel management has been uncooperative in resolving this issue. They have been rude and hateful to all parties involved in resolving this matter. I have never dealt with any business that is so poorly managed. Other guests stayed in rooms that had mold in the tub and on the toilet paper roller. There was trash in the stairwells, parking lots and overgrown grass around the hotel. WE are trying to resolve this mess thru Days Inn Corporate. I will update this review pending the outcome. The only good thing I have to say is the ac was cold and the internet connection worked. As for now, I would not stay here even if I were a cockroach. My apologies to our guests for recommending this Days Inn. Mother of the Bride
