Beachcomber Inn, Galveston

Only good thing about this hotel is it's close to the beach!!! Had a horrible stay! The water pressure to the shower was very very low, the remote to the TV didn't work, the microwave continued on going and would not shut off, the beds were HARD and then we got neighbors so loud next to use it sounded like they were in the room with us! They kept us up most of the night and I only got 2 hours sleep and my son only got 4 hours sleep! We were gonna stay 2 nights and paid cash for 2 nights - the guy that checked us in also checked us out and he wasn't gonna refund our money for the 2nd night had I not made a big fuss about it - another guy came to the front desk and it took him 10 minutes to look up our reservation to finally tell us we get our refund for the 2nd night. NEVER AGAIN will I stay here! Horrible!

Made a reservation for Sat., thur night. Called Saturday morning to cancel and they could not find my reservation. They took my name to make sure I would not get charged. Guess what i got charged!! 171.00. They were very rude and not helpful at all. I got the run around for 5 days. All i wanted to do was talk to a manager. A manger never called me back. I called every day and I had to explain thet story over and over. No one could find my reservation yet I was still charged. All I got was additude and sarcasm. I never complain or write reviews like this but this is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Dont stay at this place cause if you have any reason to cancel YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY!!!!

it was very clean and had all the amenties. great tv and ac worked fine and the extras you could ask for . short walk to the beach thank you the kee family

First assigned room was smoking (reservation was for non-smoking), and front desk seemed bothered by requested change. In new room, AC was turned on 80 when we arrived and room was very hit/humid. Comforter on one bed smelled of dried urine, and there was a 6" wet urine puddle on the other bed. Disgusted, we immediately left. The night clerk did not offer another room, and really didn't seem all that surprised or shocked at our discovery. The night clerk did not document or communicate the situation with the day clerk, so when the travel company called to verify complaint, they knew nothing of it. After calling back and the day clerk confirming the situation and assuring us the information would be passed along to the travel company, we found out that they told the travel company there were no complaints and we stayed the night. Now we have had to file a dispute with the credit card company and are dealing with hotel management and ownership to get this resolved. Some of the guests here seemed like nice families, while others were questionable- a man was asking about "hourly rates" as we checked in, and other guests stayed in walkways drinking and smoking. Definitely will not stay here again or recommend to family/friends.

I have been at this motel for almost 3 months and will be here for 3 more months. The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and caring. I tell everyone that I know to stay here when they come to galveston. This is a family oriented motel with great rates, rooms, and staff !!!

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Beds are comfortable. Off the seawall blvd but that is not a problem. Good value. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Where do I start? The only thing good about this motel was the staff, they were helpful and friendly. There were feces on the wall of the bathroom, air conditioning was not cold, hair dryer did not work. Every morning the plumbing was messed up. The toilet would lose all of it's water, then fill up and overflow onto the floor, all by itself without flushing. The grounds of this place was n-a-s-t-y!!! There were cigarette butts and trash everywhere. Don't even try to get into the free breakfast, the illegal aliens have taken it over. I paid $175 a night to stay here and it was not worth $50 a night. Next time I will pay extra to stay in a better known hotel.
