WAY more expensive than it's worth!

The Driskill has a wonderful reputation, but it's not well earned. First, the good: gorgeous common areas, beautifully decorated especially at the holidays, fabulous location on 6th St., quiet despite the location. The BAD: very overpriced, rooms are very small and not fancy, amenities are not all that special, rooms are dully decorated, hallways full of kitschy art, staff can be very rude, and discriminate based on how much money they "think" you have. The room was cramped, the towels so-so, etc. Not worth the money at all. And the on-property restaurants are outrageously expensive.
