Almost Laughable

This hotel bills itself as "luxury" but the dingy carpets, unattractive rooms, and pathetic lack of service make it more like a Faulty Towers than a luxury hotel.
The Praline Room resturant had bad food, dirty carpets and teenaged waitstaff who disappeared for long stretches and then came back to ask for clarification. The food was largely tasteless.
When I found there was no internet cable in my room I called the front desk. They said they'd get someone to bring one up, but 30 seconds laters said "Oh, there's no one available right now, can you come down?"
I cut my stay short, had an argument about the 36-hour cancellation policy and then got them to agree to let me leave without a cancellation charge. However, in the morning, when there was no bill under my door, I called to the front desk -- they told me "Oh we don't deliver the bill to your room, you have to come and get it". Also, I talked to other people who had experienced service breakdowns. One couple took the shuttle to downtown Nashville in the evening -- only one problem -- THE SHUTTLE NEVER RETURNED TO PICK THEM UP!
The fact that you have to take a shuttle to get anywhere tells you about the location. Not close to anything that I wanted to do without extra expense or unreliable shuttle service.
I checked out, went to the Embassy Suites, saved money and got exactly what I paid for -- clean room, good internet, helpful staff for way less money.
