One of the worst hotels I have ever been in

Except for the lobby, and the front staff, this place is a poor excuse for a hotel. I am amazed at the grubby run-down condition of the rooms, and lackadaisical attitude of many of the staff members. When I went to take a shower, I discovered that there were hairs on the wall and tub, and to my horror, the shower curtain liner was covered in mold. (Not the only cleanliness problems.) They did bring a new shower curtain, but so much about the room was seedy and not clean that it was creepy. (To be fair, the bed was comfortable and the linens were clean.)
I was also disappointed that when we called to request that the late-night revelers in the next room be asked to remember that they were not alone in the hotel, the security guard came and was going to walk away without doing anything, because nobody was yelling at the top of their lungs at the moment he was standing there, although there was still a lot of noise. My roommate had to ask him to wait about 5 seconds so he could hear the big party (after midnight, for the 3rd night). By way, the walls are very thin, and there are big gaps under the adjoining and front doors--it felt like they were in the room with us--but they were also unbelievably noisy--you could hear them down the hall.
To top off the whole thing, I did not get a wake-up call (I have NEVER had that happen, not even at discount motels), and missed a meeting.
When we were leaving, I mentioned to the bellman that the place was kind of seedy, and he said they are getting to undergo renovations. That is still no excuse, as they could keep the attitude, service, and cleanliness at least up to minimum standard.
Chattanooga is great, and the conference I was attending at the adjoining Convention Center was great, but this hotel was the pits.
