JUSTICE IN JELLICO?

My husband, who has muscular degeneration in both legs made that reservation. We later phoned them to requestany first or second floor room. She stated the rooms were to be given out on a first come first serve basis and they had rooms available but he must wait until check in to see what room he had.
He made reservations at another motel due to the danger of stairs and subsequently phoned Days Inn to cancel. Then they told him since he was couple of minutes past the deadline to cancel his reservation he would be billed for 1 night. I was astounded that they refused to accommodate him even though they could, and then refused to cancel the reservation without billing for a charge they forced upon him I phoned the manager even explained the situation of how he is disabled. I explained all he was asking was for a room he did not have to climb stairs to get to. The manager became belligerent, stating that he had a room guaranteed by his reservation. I went on to point out that he needed a room that he could access (walk to) and she stated she could not promise him a room he could access, only a room, and if he were to cancel, she would charge him a cancellation fee of the first night room. When I disputed her decision to charge us for a room he may not even be able to walk to, this manager became rude and hateful, stating that she would bill us and we would have to pay for it. I told her due to her attitude we would dispute the charge on our credit card, she went on to state You will pay. WE FIND THIS REPREHENSIBLE; THAT A MOTEL WOULD REFUSE TO GIVE HIM A ROOM WHICH WOULD ACCOMODATE HIS HANDICAP AND INSIST ON GUARANTEEING HIM A ROOM WHICH HE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS (walk to) AND THEN CHARGING HIM BECAUSE THEY WERE FULLY ABLE TO BUT REFUSED ACCOMMODATE HIM, forcing him to cancel. THIS IS A VIOLATION OF THE AMERICANS DISABILITIES ACT. The motel owner made no apologies but said later he would not bill us.
