Motel 6 Pawleys Island, Pawleys Island

I was very satisfy with my stay this past weekend. I was reluctant to book based on other reviews, I'm happy that I went and gathered my own opinion. The room was fine and comfortable, my only issue was that the tub was a little slow to drain. For the price you can't expect the Waldorf folks. The staff was great in my opinion, just wish you still offer an iron that would be my negative.. so please bring your own!

THIS IS NOT A TWO AND A HALF STAR MOTEL ITS NOT EVEN A ONE NO MANAGMENT NO SERVICE NO CLUE THEY SAID PRICE LINE WAS OVER BOOKING BUT THE FACT WAS THEY HAVE 90 SOMETHING ROOMS AND ABOUT 30 ARE OUT OF SERVICE PLUS WHEN I ARIVED THE LOBBY WAS FULL OF PEOPLE WANTING TO TRADE ROOMS BECASE THERES WAS DIRTY ,FULL OF BUGS,OR NOT WORKING THEY WERE TAKING ROOMS THAT WERE BOOKED AND GIVING THEM TO PEOPLE THAT WERE COMPLANING DONT DO WHAT WE DID AND EGNORE THE REVEIWS THE ONLY RESON I STAYED WAS PRICELINE HAD ALL READY CHARGED ME AND I DID NOT HAVE THE EXTRA MONEY TO BUY ANOTHER ROOM BUT IM TELLING EVERBODY DON'T GO TO THIS MOTEL THEY HAVE CHANGED THE NAME TO MOTEL 6 BUT DONT LET THAT FOOL YOU VERY RUN DOWN MOLDY DIRTY ALMOST EVER THING IS BROKE AND THE STAFF ACTS LIKE THEY ARE SMOKING CRACK TIS MOTEL NEEDS TO BE TORN DOWN IT IS TO FAR GONE

we had our rooms booked for weeks.when we arived they said they had no rooms turning every one away.we finaly got one.we had to lock our door with a pad lock out side the door.the tub had a cracks in it the light did not work over the sink in the bed room. no remotecontrol for tv.the door would not lock in side the room.no clock the phone did not work.we stayed 3 days and got no towels at all asked 6 times.the staff is lost the manager speeks no english at all..the ladys at the frount desk was fusing with each other.it took 3 hours to get in a room.we went threw priceline the motel would not give us a refund.This motel is now under motel 6.would stay in a tent before I would stay here not worth staying free.the pool sucks also dirty..dont do it run....and no internet at all.

i bookd thru hotels.com...Rene @ hotels.com told me it was a nice hotel..... Rooms were dirty..no pillow cases they use pillow covers..there were no towels in the room had to get one pillow replaced due to all the stains....the electric cord for the tv and one of the lights were taped together with electrical tape ( lookd like someone was hoping for a fire)..pool was dirty....but it was cheap cost me $89.00 including tax....staff was friendly....so the only good thing i can say is the room was cheap and the staff was friendly...

When I booked my reservation this weekend with Hotwire I was told that this place was equal to Holiday Inn Express. Wrong!!! Furnishing were old and the hotel needed painting, the wireless was too weak to work in my room, bath towels were about the size of hand towels and didn't match, no hand towels and no coffee in the room. The only real plus to the room is that the a/c worked too well and kept the room like an ice box. The staff was friendly, especially those who worked in the restaurant. Would I recommend it? Only to someone who was short on cash and don't expect much.

Came with a mini fridge and microwave, pool a bit dirty, my main concern is waking up with bites! Could be bedbugs and didnt like the earlier post about brown recluse spiders........good for the price of $60 a night assuming I don't take home bugs and contaminate my house......they act like they have no supplies, bathroom had half a roll of toilet paper went to get more before we left for the day they said they would bring it, got back that night, no toilet paper, went to office again she says someone took the key where it's locked up, had to go to a different room to get us another half roll, next day they also had to go to another room and bring us some not full rolls, woman who finally brought us some was very nice tho...stay here with caution!!

This hotel is a fraud. They lure you with beautiful photos of rooms that DO "NOT EXIST at this location. Don't believe any of the good reviews as I suspect they were written by the owners or their friends. RUN! RUN! RUN to a different hotel! I am calling the Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce.

When you get to this location you will be shocked it looks nothing like the pictures posted. It is a very dated and unkept hotel to say the least. It is a room if you dont have another place to stay but that is about it. Even the very basic hotel supplies such as soap, shampoo, toilet tissue, and coffee are not readily available to guests. If they have a housekeeping department they must have been on strike for a long while now.

We made our reservations online and expected the hotel to look like the charming photos on the website. These pictures were entirely fabricated and looked nothing like the hotel, which is a low dive. This was a terrible experience.
