We will be back!
By ,
We had a simply wonderful time, the rooms were very nice, the service was fantastic. Loved the breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese. The location was excellant-we parked our car when we arrived and it didn't move until we left. Every place we wanted to go was within walking distance. I did not see any dust bunnies, bugs or anything else. Of course I wasn't looking. I was enjoying my wonderful stay in Charleston! Would recommend the Indigo to anyone who wants the same.

we will be back!

Because of allergies, my wife and I have the habit to check all the tipical places which the maids never attend to. Well we found a room without any dust bunnies or cowwebs on the cei;ing. The stepstool to get on to the bed may be difficult for some seniors and disabled. The front lobby was a charm with cheese, wine and other edibles. The garden courtyard with tables and chairs is a very charming place to have breakfast.

Will come back again for sure!
By ,
I loved this place! I stayed here last year and it made such an impression on me, that I wanted to write a review even now. The staff was sooooo friendly and the place just exuded charm! It was very clean and within walking distance of downtown. I stayed here because I had pets with me at the time, but I will stay there again even without pets as they were so great. I recommend this place over any larger "chain" hotel. The owner's daughter even helped me "corral" my little wild cat that didn't want to leave!

The best part of my visit
By ,
The Indigo Inn was actually recommended by the Vistor's Center and I'm so thankful they did. The inn is great, the staff are very attentive and the rooms are cozy and clean and the bed was so comfy.I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay for my anniversary weekend and plan to go back.In a place as busy as Charleston it's great to have a quite getaway just a few minutes walk from all the action.

Best Hotel Ever!!!!
There was nothing to dislike about this hotel. My husband and I along with our 7 year old grand daughter chose The Indigo while we were sight seeing in Charleston. They gave us a discount, and we had a beautiful suite across from the lobby. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. Lemonade, iced tea, coffee, sweets, etc were always available in the lobby. The hotel isn't that old, but the way it's decorated gave it the ambiance of Victorian times. The court yard was also very nice. We plan on going back there again in September and bringing some friends along.

Very Disappointed
By ,
I read a lot of good reviews about the Indigo Inn before I took my wife to Charleston on a surprise birthday visit. Instead of sleeping though, I spent the second night composing a terrible review of the Indigo Inn in my head! All of the rooms in this relatively small inn surround a very pretty courtyard. Unfortunately this setting acts as an incredible sound chamber, where even innocuous, two am conversations on the 3rd floor balcony are bounced around an echo chamber, and are amplified to intolerable levels. If there happens to be a wedding party there during your stay (like there was during ours) well imagine my sleep deprivation. The staff did not seem very concerned about it. The continental breakfast was pretty good but cold. Our room had an empty beer bottle, an Advil tablet, and other assorted goodies on the floor awaiting our arrival. Our experience did not mar an otherwise wonderful trip to Charleston. I've talked to a lot of folks that love it at the Indigo and trust me, I'm not a complainer, but at $179 + $10/night parking + $30/night pet fee, we were expecting much more.
