A drink with attitude........

We stayed at the Sheraton exactly a year ago during our first trip to Charleston. So, this time when our stay at the Andrew Pinckney Inn was cut short due to a bug infestation in our room, we sought shelter at the Sheraton, since we knew it to be a nice, clean, friendly hotel (should have stayed there again this time around, but hey, who knew?) Needless to say, as soon as we got checked-in it was 11:30 PM and my husband and I definitely needed a drink after the day we had. We inquired what time the bar closed- we were told midnight. We walked to the bar at 11:35, saw a full room, and opened the door. The bartender, I believe his name was Albert? told us that he did a last call already, but he would serve us one drink. He had a very rude attitude, was clearly upset and constantly reiterated to the group at the bar that he was trying to close. After getting my husband and I our 2 Rum and Cokes, which we took back to our room to "accomodate" Albert, he gave us our bill. The funny thing is, he did not ring our transaction or the transaction before ours through the register- wonder where the money went. Needless to say, with that type of customer service, we checked out early and went back home. The ladies at the front counter were very nice and courteous however, and I want to thank them for their hospitality.
