Very satisfied all around

My teenage daughter and I just stayed one night. Everyone was friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and clean with nice amenities. Our view was nothing special, but I opted for a less expensive room. We enjoyed the fitness center and pool - both clean. The little store had what we needed. My daughter had a massage at the spa, where we were also treated wonderfully. The location is awesome. There is plenty within walking distance, except in January it was too cold for that. We didn't try the restaurant. I found a deal that included breakfast on AAA, but when I went directly to the Marriott site, I found a deal that included a massage. It was an excellent value. I look forward to going back again.

Above and Beyond

Had Trouble with booking date through Travelocity's Betsy at the Newport Marriott did above and beyond what I expected to help me correct that date issue and my stay was, when wanted because of that, and all other staff lived up to the experience I had with Betsy. Newport Marriott will be my first choice, for now on, for any and all stays in Newport. Michael P. Manning

Great Stay

Warm friendly service was the best part, everywhere we went the staff was so nice. Very cool looking hotel, great lobby, comforitable rooms, best health club ever, even have raquetball and games. Restaurant / bar was really nice, funky place with above average seafood. Never had to take the car out of the lot again becasue everything and anything is in walking distance. A+

Fathoms Restaurant

We did not stay at the hotel but ate at the Fathoms Restaurant. Poor value in our opinion. Very limited menue and very small portions for what you pay for. My wife got the lazy mans lobster where for $37.00 and they shell the lobster for you. Mightly small helping for a 1.5 lbs lobster. Would not recommend.

Just OK hotel

Likes... Location Dislikes... Our room "window" faced the inside foyer. Could not open curtains to let light in because people could walk in hall right past our window! Staff seemed stressed out, we were missing a top sheet (yuck), took too long to be seated for breakfast

Enjoyed my stay!

My stay there was good. The service was good and the room was nice and clean. It's location was convient, close to many shops, restaurants and bars. This made it convient for going out hitting the town at night, could just walk.

Our October Getaway

We love this hotel and will continue coming back each fall. Courteous staff, beautiful amenties. And it is within walking distance to many of Newports shops,restaurants, etc. They also have a wonderful lounge and restaurant.

Great Place to Stay in Newport

The Marriott has a great location right on the harbor in downtown Newport, walking distance to all the shops/restaurants that you go to Newport to enjoy. Hotel has a comfortable feeling from the moment you enter, staff is wonderful and their restaurant, FATHOMS has great food at reasonable prices. Two for one dinners on Tuesday and Wednesday are the deal of deals!
