Yuck!
By Nancy, 3/20/12
The room appeared clean until we went to bed. One pillow case had a black stain and the pillow itself was stained. When we pulled back the sheets the one bed had stains all over the sheets. When we called the front desk we had to go down and get clean pillow, case and sheets ourself. The replacements smelled like cigarette smoke. At 2am we had to call the front desk to ask the people in the room next to us to end their poker party. The walls were so thin that we could hear ever word being said and every beer being cracked open. Hotel owned or operated by people obviously not of american origin. Maybe their standards of service are not as high as ours but I was not impressed. Spend a little more and go down the street.

Pleasant stay.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/11
I and my business partner had two rooms over three nights. The rooms were a little musty but once aired out they were fine. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and directions. For the value it was excellent.

Large, clean, pet-friendly, and comfortable!
By Laura, 9/5/11
My family of 8 evacuated from NJ during Hurricane Irene and we were so thankful to have stayed at the Travel Lodge. We were able to bring our 3 cats and a bird as well. There is an animal hospital directly across the street. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave in our room. We were blessed to stay there and would stay again!

Stay away from this one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/07
My family and I have stayed here a few times. I have finally given up on them bringing the motel up to satisfying standards. The last time we stayed (8/20/07) our room had no hot water in the shower. The time before that, the commode would not flush and the sink would not drain. Also, the odor in the rooms is truly offensive. I went out and purchased spray and solid air fresheners for in the room. There are better places that aren't that much further from the college.

It's a nice place to stay, thanks to new owners
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/07
I have stayed at this hotel a few times a year now for the past few years. They have been through three owners in that time and the current owner has completely gutted and renovated the entire place, from the lobby to the rooms. The prices have risen each year, but are currently well worth the fees. It's truly the nicest Travelodge I've ever stayed in and nicer(now), than many hotel chains that have a higer AAA rating. It's located on the edge of the city in a very secure suburban setting, just off the main Rt. 30/283 highways, but it's only 15 minutes from rural Amish areas. I like that it sits on the city line, and thus, easy access to the city as well as the highway for easy access to corporate and industrial parks, since I travel there on business.

Not a great experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/2/05
This hotel is no where near the heart of the amish country in Lancaster. When we stayed there, the room was average but very outdated. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The only way to get to the main attractions of Lancaster is to either get on a very busy highway and sit through traffic or go through a not so great part of town.
