DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
By JamesB, 07/27/08
The General Manager (M.G.Patel) quoted my wife a price on the phone, took our card number and gave us a confirmation number and when we arrived he denied that the price he quoted my wife was as such. It was not a lot more, however he called my wife a liar and was not even man enough to speak to us in person. He should concentrate more on upgrading the rooms and condition of the place and less time robbing his customers. The room had missing and broken furniture and blown out wall socketsand the pool looked like it was not cleaned in days/weeks. I hope that they do not count on word of mouth because mine is all bad. The 2 desk clerks that I had dealt with were nice and that is the only nice thing that I can say about this place. The location to Amish country is poor at best and the Management will only get worse given the cuurent general manager (M.G. Patel) and his leadership. Even if you pay more anywhere else stay away from this place and enjoy your visit without all of the bad things that will happen to you here. If you like being lied to and a less than satisfactory room than this is your place and by all means call M.G. Patel for your room rates, he will tell you whatever you want to here and then raise the costs and not even have the guts to face you.....What a LOSER......

Stay away from this one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/07
My family and I have stayed here a few times. I have finally given up on them bringing the motel up to satisfying standards. The last time we stayed (8/20/07) our room had no hot water in the shower. The time before that, the commode would not flush and the sink would not drain. Also, the odor in the rooms is truly offensive. I went out and purchased spray and solid air fresheners for in the room. There are better places that aren't that much further from the college.

It's a nice place to stay, thanks to new owners
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/07
I have stayed at this hotel a few times a year now for the past few years. They have been through three owners in that time and the current owner has completely gutted and renovated the entire place, from the lobby to the rooms. The prices have risen each year, but are currently well worth the fees. It's truly the nicest Travelodge I've ever stayed in and nicer(now), than many hotel chains that have a higer AAA rating. It's located on the edge of the city in a very secure suburban setting, just off the main Rt. 30/283 highways, but it's only 15 minutes from rural Amish areas. I like that it sits on the city line, and thus, easy access to the city as well as the highway for easy access to corporate and industrial parks, since I travel there on business.

Avoid this one!
By King, 09/21/05
Hi,I made reservations for my family at this motel in Lancaster for the weekend of "A Day Out With Thomas" in Strasburg Sept.17,2005.No Bathtub only a shower, room was outdated, room stunk(smelled bad!!),shady looking characters loafing around in the parking lot.We checked in and left within 10 minutes!!Worst motel experience for me to date!We ended up at the Holiday Express in Elizabethtown.Avoid this Travelodge on 2101 Columbia Ave.Lancaster,Pa.!!

Not a great experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/05
This hotel is no where near the heart of the amish country in Lancaster. When we stayed there, the room was average but very outdated. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The only way to get to the main attractions of Lancaster is to either get on a very busy highway and sit through traffic or go through a not so great part of town.
