The Latham Hotel, Philadelphia

Beautiful historical building, clean room. Overall great place to stay. The service was excellent. And in walking distances of shopping and great places to eat.

Very good and nice location, very friendly and helpful sevice and of course Phildelphia by itself is spectacular! Great for couples! Rooms are in good conditions, nothing to complain about...

loved the piano bar and how it was on the other side of the hotel separate from the maritini bar. both great with different atmospheres.

Nice Stop on a trip through Philly. Clean and friendly, service was quite nice and the atmosphere is a great representation for out of towners travelling on business or pleasure in the Philly region.

I loved the look and ambience of comfort this place offers, it is quaint and loving. It's close to everything. Not like the big unpersonal Hotels. A small place of home.

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Philly. Ask for a bright, comfortable, corner room. Within a block or two of great Philly restaurants on Walnut and other nearby streets. Close to Rittenhouse Square. Walking distance to the theatre district along Broadway. What is not to like?

I went here with my boyfriend about a year ago and we had a great time. It was last minute and they gave us a room with no problem. Our room was very clean and had a nice view of the local area. Room was not that big but it was perfect for us. We would go back anytime.

Location good easy to get to the places we enjoy to visit, and near enough to walk. Friendly atmosphere almost everyone made me feel welcome. Most of what attracts us to is accessable for us. Not only made me feel welcome but we had fun with the staff and laughed.

We chose the Latham for its location near the old city and its reasonable price. It wasn't as close as I'd hoped, but the just under half mile walk was doable and safe. If you are there to shop, the Latham is at the heart of it. A cab ride back after a full day of sightseeing was only $6. I had read a past review of dingy rugs and smokey smells, but our room (1105) was immaculate including the marble bath and surprisingly roomy. I looked at a footprint of each floor which showed the 05 corner among the largest of all rooms. The bay window provided a modest view in three directions. The breakfast lovers' package seemed to be a good value and convenient. I would definitely return.

My boyfriend and I live in a suburb of Philadelphia and love to stay in the city every chance we get..Our mainstay in the Lathom Hotel. It is an exceptionally beautiful hotel located right in the heart of Centy City Philly. It is located on the corner of 17th & Walnut Streets, which is where you'll find all of our premier shops. If you take Septa there are plenty of buses that work their way down 17th and down Walnut. Also, if you are about 4 blocks from Suburban Station, which is where you can take Amtrack trains, our "L" train and our "Trolleys" which will take you all over the city. Also mentioned above in another review you can catch the "plash" which takes tourists to all the main spots to visit in Philly... The hotel, is always exceptionally clean and the staff is always great. You can get a mini fridge put in the room by request for keeping drinks or leftovers cold...Jolly's the establishment downstairs is expensive but has great food. Luckily, you don't need to eat there, as said before, there is Little Pete's two blocks down, a McDonald's right on Walnut, a Marathon Grill and Joe's Pizza right at 16th & Walnut. They are all cheaper places with great food..Overall the Lathom is a great Hotel and I would recommend it to anyone!!
