10 reviews for Sheraton Station Square Hotel, Pittsburgh
Not what it once was.
By 69 Honda, 11/08/09
I recently stayed at the Sheraton Station Square with my wife for the first time in 11-12 years. The hotel is in a great location but is really showing it's age. Our room was small and had been updated with a flat screen TV, but there was about the end of any noticeable updates. The carpets both in the room and especially in the hallways were filthy and more than well worn. There were other signs to many to mention of the hotels advanced age. Unfortuantely for us there was a Pitt Syracuse football game the weekend we stayed. There was a great deal of hallway noise, people drinking, being loud and roudy. Something I would expect at a Days Inn but not a $200-$300 a night hotel. On Saturday we went to the pool and found it to be very nice, however there were a half dozen children playing in the Jacuzzi even though the signs posted clearly stated "Children Were Not Permitted" I wouldn't reccomend the hotel unless you were looking for a place to get drunk, get rowdy, and youve got $250 a night to throw down the tubes.

Wanted to stay but .....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/09
I had what I thought was 3 rooms reserved through Expedia.com. As we arrrived there were no rooms. I was freaking-out! The Sheraton staff was wonderful especially ROBIN!!! I am not sure of his last name but he was the Manager on demand that day. He over heard my complains to my friends and did everything possible that he could do to help, but the hotel was booked and he even offered to give up his room to me.The staff arranged rooms for us at a sister hotel, shuttled us there.etc. I was very grateful to him. Thank you Robin!!!!!! Margaret

Get your shots before staying here

This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. While at it try to create some type of east access. From check in to check out, poor food and rude staff.

Stay clear of this place
By John S, 01/20/09
It started with having a tough time to find this place and from there it got worse. If you like parking in Philly but staying it Pitts you might not mind this place. Service/Staff are rude to down right mean. Hotel itself is in need of severe updates, bathrooms are crusty. Not sure why my kids now have a rash but it may have something to to due with the dirty room. Even the starbucks in the hotel was horrible. If for some reason you get stuck with this booger, bring your own beer!

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/07
Stayed at this hotel for 5 days. Wow! I donot know where to start. Let me just say, stay away. It looks very attractive when you first walk into the hotel. Try to go to the rooms, you will be greeted with dirty and stained carpet and a very bad smell. House keeping, right! forget about it. My first day at the hotel, I came back to a room that was exactly the way I left it, after a long day of training. I had to talk to the manager on duty about it. Besides the room had moldy smell and had visible molds under the sink and on tiles of the bath tub that I had to request change of room. The second room was no better. There were visible dirty suds on the wall off the bath tub, the A/C vents were half covered with dust and the smell was so terrible. I can honestly say that the five days I stayed at this hotel, not even a single day the bath tub was cleaned. I even doubt if their bath towels were clean because I, and I am sure many people out there, can tell what a clean smell is. In fact, I had to visit a local store and bought a towel. Yes, it was that terrible. Staff was not friendly either, at least the time I stayed at this hotel.

Mixed service review...
By G, 04/28/07
My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton following a party given by his employer (the party was excellent BTW-good food). The weekend happened to be our 23rd anniversary as well. When we arrived, our room was not ready, but we were offered an upgrade which was lovely. Additionally, the bellman ignored us struggling with our luggage and the front desk person initially was rude. The motel did send a lovely champagne and strawberry amenity for our anniversary. We planned to have breakfast at the hotel, but the resturant was not open yet (6:00 am) We had our luggage with us, with plans to check out, take the luggage to the car and then have breakfast. However, we learned that we only had 15 minutes to leave after check out before we were charged additional fees for parking! So, it was a mixed experience. The view of our beloved downtown Pittsburgh was beautiful and we have a lovely memory of a special weekend, despite some shaky times.

AWESOME PLACE TO STAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/07
My husband and I were here for our 2 year anniversary. Besides the fact that we love the city of Pittsburgh, the Sheraton makes it even more inviting for us. Station Square has a million and one places to eat, drink, and just have a good time at. We love the Station Square Sheraton, its beautiful, the rooms are so inviting, and the service is impecable. I will contine to recommend this hotel to everyone. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

Steelers Game
By volkstoner, 11/23/05
What an experience. Had view of stadium out the window. Can catch the clipper boat to the game out the back door. If you have the chance, grab the buffet with your room, excellant food. Purchased alone it may be a little pricey. All employees were great. Long line upon check in due to the game, but the wait was less than 15 minutes. Will definitely stay here again and again.

Not 100% Satisfaction Guarnteed!!
By Brandy, 07/08/05
The hotel in general was nice, most of the staff was nice, but the service was poor. We got charged twice and had to keep reminding them of that and the pool was closed the weekend we stayed there and it was rainy and we have children which is why we picked this hotel. Overall it was not a pleasant stay.
