Days Inn East Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg

This was a great place the first time we stayed there in early 2010. However, when we stayed again this October, that was another story. The room looked clean but the bathroom was not. Tub was scratched and there was mold in the corners of the tub. When I went to get dressed in the morning, I found a roach in the drawer with my clothes! Management didn't seem to care and offered NO compensation. When I got home I had to make sure that I did not bring our suitcase or our clothes into my house for fear that a roach may have gotten into them. We will not stay there ever again!

Room was filthy, with hair in tub, stains on covers of bed, dust everywhere and mold on walls of peeling wallpaper. I would not stay there for any amount of savings for the health of my family. Pool was closed and per sign for the next month and grounds were filthy

Do not listen to the two bad reviews below. The pool is heated and the temperature is comfortable if I wanted to swim in a hot pool I'd take a bath. Also, the person complaining about mold, I did not see any but I cannot and will not speak for the other rooms at the establishment. Overall my room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and I enjoyed my stay. The only bad thing was the continental breakfast its not really much to eat. Also, they are a lot of shady places in East Stroudsburg so I would say Days Inn is your best bet, plus they have a Mexican restaurant on site.

Very nice place. Hard to find wheel chair accessible hotels. This place fits the bill.Totally renovated rooms, give this place a new feel. Nice friendly staff and a great Mexican restaurant. The pool area needs updating but sufficient for now. Would stay there again!!

Yuck.For $150 stay away. I dont know what yahoo is talking about with $60. Don't believe the pictures it is not irish and not clean! The pictures make the room look 10x bigger then they are, because of the hot tubs which must leak the room had mold in the rug and on the ceiling from the tub above us. it is just gross and the bathroom is the size of a closet. the only thing good about it was the dude who worked in the resturant - cool guy but he was the only host, bar tender & the waiter. keep it moving

The staff was very friendly and this was even race weekend. The hotel does need some updating but it is not that bad. The room was clean. We did not go the pool, restaurant or bar. The only big complaint was that we had a room next to the ice machine and it was very load and kept us up most of the night. Also the bed was not that comfortable. All and all the stay was good for the price paid during the big race weekend.

Likes: price front desk service pool (very warm) Dislikes: condition of pool area (needs renovation) road noise/ general noise (no soundproofing) "continental breakfast" was very sparse The only reason that I did not give a "poor" rating was that the price was very good. However, if you want a nights' rest, or a good breakfast, go elsewhere....

The Shannon Inn and Pub is at a great location. It is surrounded by lots of activities. The Inn itself was terrible. The room was dirty...hair was in the tub and sink. The sheets on the queen size bed were WAY too small...everynight and morning we had to fix it because it came off. Also, the pool would have been nice if it was warm...it's indoor, but not warm. It was warmer outside then it was in the water. Another major issue was the ice...there was NEVER ice. We were there for a total of three days and the entire time we were there we were unable to get a whole cup of ice. One more complaint--the Inn was filthy. We went there to eat on night for dinner and their was food and confetti all over the place. The woman waiting on us stated, "I'm sorry...It's from yesterday. We had a party." (You mean they didn't have time to clean up food on tables and vacum floors from the day before????) Overall, the Shannon Inn and Pub was a disgusting place. I would never go there again, and I would never recommmend it to anyone. All complaints were reported to the office.
