Holiday Inn Phildelphia Bensalem, Bensalem

I love the place, the location was near everything, the mall, place to eat, night life, but the staff was not so welcoming. The desk clerk did not inform my husband and I that the room with the king size bed was not available. We proceeded to check in and much to our surprise we found 2 twin beds and not the king size. We told this to the clerk and she said because we went through expedia, that we would have to talk to them. We spoke to someone at expedia and was told there was no guarantee that we would have the room, and I understand that, but the place looked a little dead, so the feeling of no rooms with a king size bed, i couldn't shake it. I think I bugged the heck out of the hotel club, of Are you sure, there are no king size available, after she said this for about the fourth time, and proceeded to check on my laptop and found a room available with a King Size bed, I very politely showed the clerk, and she said well how many rooms are avaiable, i told her I didn't know but it was false advertisement to say you don't have the room of my choice, and it clearly states on the website i could have booked the same room online. She then said she had two rooms avialable, but they were dirty. The clerk said she would have them cleaned by the time my husband and i were to return from dinner. I told her all my husband and I wanted for ONE night, was a weekend away of some peace and quiet and just to enjoy each other. When we returned our room was available, and the clerk said, i didn't think i would remember you, I forgot who you were. I am pretty sure she remebered who we were, just a condensending way of being irritated by the way we cornered her. Again, the hotel is beautiful and the location is wonderful, just beware, before you check in, make sure the room you booked is the right one. I don't know if she was just aggitated that we went through someone other than the acutal hotel, but just be careful about problems like this.
