Read some bad reviews but price was good and was near Jefferson Hospital so I took a chance. Yes, building is old and has seen better days but everything was neat and clean. Nothing fancy, but neat and clean. AC worked great. Not much selection on TV. Didn't use internet. Newspaper every morning. Full breakfast, although seating was difficult. Staff was great. Great for familes. Nice pool. Good security. Nice section of town, lots of restaurants. All in all a pleasant experience and a good value. I would visit again.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Clean, quiet, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. A great central location within walking distance of almost everything there is to see. The free breakfast bar offers a great deal of variety - something for everyone. I will stay here everytime I come to Philadelphia!

The staff were excellent and kind. The room looked exactly like it did online and was very clean. The breakfast staff were so nice and very helpful in showing how to get to a certain place, so much so that one of the lady's walked me out and directed me from outside to a place that I asked about. The next time I come to Philly, I will definitely stay here again.

We went to Philadelphia to go to a baseball game at Citizens Bank Park and needed a place to crazy. This Holiday Inn Express was in the perfect location for an easy ride to and from the stadium on the subway line and was in a nice area, very central to everything we wanted to see in Philadelphia. The parking was convenient (although a little pricey -- even for a NYer -- it was market price) and it was nice to have the option to take the car in and out (even if we didn't). The staff was friendly and all smiles, despite the rush at the check-in when we happened to arrive around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Breakfast was decent and certainly a little perk, although it would've also been fine to check out a local cafe. The rooms were quite clean and the beds were comfortable. I liked the way the pillow cases were embroidered "soft" and "firm" -- it was little extra unexpected touches that helped make this hotel experience better than expected.

Great location and pleasant room. It was a joy to stay the night here. It is close to the Midtown area and I liked that it was close to a very nice entertain and quaint areas to visit.

GREAT LOCATION WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO CENTER CITY SITES. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND THE ATTACHED GARAGE WAS JUST 21 DOLLARS A DAY. A FREE BREAKFAST INCLUDED EGSS AND A VARIETY OF OTHER ITEMS. A VERY GOOD VALUE.

I stayed here for 5 nights while attending a conference at the PA Convention Center. The location was great. There were so many nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. I also trekked to area museums. The staff was always friendly, courteous, and helpful. The housekeeping staff was kind and efficient. The room was clean and very roomy. I have no complaints. I'd stay there again, given the chance.

Although we arrived early, talked with the front desk lady, our room was sigven away and she said that there wouldnt be a problem. But we got another room on a smoking floor(smelled) but we were so tired that it didnt matter. I was happy with the 3rd shift mgr on how she handled the situation.

This was our (my girlfriend and me) first time staying in Philadelphia for the weekend. We were both sort of nervous that the Hotel was extraordinarily reasonable ($210.00 for the weekend with a continental breakfast (which was quite tasty) with parking included (The Ben Franklin Package)). The room was clean and very spacious. The location was magnificent. We were able to walk to shopping, dining and entertainment. I would highly recommend The Holiday Inn Express Midtown.
