Holiday Inn Harrisburg Hershey, Grantville

We attended a wedding at the Holiday Inn Grantville yesterday and is was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a wedding. The staff was less than accommodating. The food was cold when delivered (and I was part of the bridal party). Bob Baker was the DJ, and he was a complete jerk when it came to requesting songs. Following the reception, many of the people our age (25-30 years old) decided to go to "The Winner's Circle Saloon & Grill" in the hotel. I was promtly told by the bouncer that I was not allowed in because I appeared intoxicated -- and I don't even drink! When I voiced my concerns to the front desk, the employee said he didn't care and that is the way it was. Getting married myself next September, I was absolutely appalled at the lack of professionalism and the negative attitude all the staff had. Because of the events, the bride as well as the rest of the bridal party were not able to enjoy her one special day. Bottom Line: this place needs to be removed from The Knot all together and I would never stay here ever again, let alone have my own wedding reception here.

My family stayed at this location for the past 2 years, and were happy with everything over all. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Prices are fair. We look forward to going again next year.

We went here because we were told it was rated 4 stars, and that it had an excellent restaurant. We were very disappointed. My husband ordered prime rib; he got pot roast. I ordered meat loaf, and got burnt hamburger balls. Even the desserts were awful, nothing like the pictures. The pool area was nice, but the water was too cold. The room was too hot, and no matter what we did we couldn't cool it down. The people were very nice, and it wasn't the worst hotel I have been to, but if you stay here, do not eat here. I expected a lot better, and it does need some updating. Please turn the pool water heater up!!! I hate cold pools, especially when you have kids along!!

Hotel was able to accommodate a meeting of approx 250-300 coming from all parts of Pa. Meeting rooms were comfortable. Restaurant, lounge, swimming pool....great for after the meeting since this is an out of the way location. Hotel staff very helpful.

I like the place is because the staff is friendly, and it well clean.the location is easy to find. and its near the hershey park attraction.
