Ill never go back!
By Phil, 6/8/09
It has been taken over by Indian Dotheads.I have been going to car shows for over twelve years and staying at this hotel which always had great acomodations and friendly service. The restuarant was great and I recommended it to many friends. The bar was one of the friendliest and I met and enjoyed the company of many fellow car enthusiasts there in the past. This year to my surprise the bar has been closed, the restuarant has gone totally downhill ,it even smells bad.At the morning breakfast buffet every table was full of dirty plates which I had to move aside so I could eat my cold eggs. When i first entered my room it wasnt even made up.Every time i passed the service desk they were apologising to someone for a mistake they had made. Why do we let these scumbags take over all the good business. The Holiday Inn chain is putting their good name on the line here.I stayed the first night and found another hotel for my second night which I will use next year.I spoke with several friends about this experience and was informed that they avoid Holiday Inns for this reason.Ill never stay at another one!

Worst stay ever at Holiday Inn
By Hobie, 9/21/08
I have been staying at this hotel for years during the Car Show season, but this year will be my last along with many others from the Car Shows that I have talked to. The place is in such disrepair you would think your in an Econolodge or something but at $156.00 a night this is just unacceptable. The hallways smell and the carpets are just filthy, the garbage cans outside are overflowing & the landscaping is now overgrown with weeds. The last I stayed there the pool was getting slimy and had been closed. I was told by the new staff at the front desk that the hotel had been sold and that almost all the hotel staff that has taken very good care of us over the years are now gone. There was absolutely no maintenance staff left so even for the slightest issued such as a burnt out light bulb, a dead battery in your tv remote, they would have to move you to a new room, if available. The restaurant was only open for breakfast till around 9:30 & closed for lunch. The carpeting in the restaurant was filthy, the upholstering on the chairs was torn up and the tacks were falling out. Forget about hanging out at the bar after a long day at the Car Show, the bar was closed due to the new owners applying for a liquor license. The one upside was the rooms were clean, I guess the only few employees the new owners kept on are in housekeeping. I have called AAA to report the horrible conditions and service at this hotel that was once an enjoyable place to stay year after year. After many of us that have stayed here for years, most of the employees have gotten to know us, (Bartenders, Front Desk Staff, etc.) they are now gone and instead of seeing a familiar face its someone new that barely knows what they are doing checking you in and treating you like a stranger. This place is now a total disgrace to the Holiday Inn chain, I can see this place becoming a one of those chains with little or no standards in the near future and rightfully so. A Note to the new Owners: learn something about customer service, appreciate your repeat customers and also your loyal employees that have been there for years and have provided us years of impeccable service before wasting your money running a business into the ground.

Very Poor Management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
When my family and I came to visit family we stayed at this disgusting Hotel. It was absolute filth and we would have never made reservations had we known what it looked and smelled like. The hallways stunk of smoke, the management seemed to never be present when I had questions and complaints, and when I did see them they were incredibly rude and obscene. there were stains on the walls and carpets, the rooms smelled like mold, and the overall experience made me want to call OSHA and any other organization that would get this place shut down. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!

We will never go back!
We have already contacted AAA about this hotel. It was dirty, the rugs in the halls needed vacuuming; there were food trays on a wall overnight, even after we reported this to the front desk. There was mold on the walls in the bathroom, as well as around the duct tape that was used to "repair" the ice machine in the hall. The front desk badly needs training. The clerk had no idea how to let us pay for this with our Priority Points, and then we had to use 15,000 for this dirty room. Very poor management.

Nightmare at Carlisle!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/4/05
The Carlisle Holiday Inn lost my reservation (confirmation number means nothing), rebooked me to an already-occupied room, and made no attempt to book a reservation at a near-by hotel, when they realized they were full. Front desk clerks blamed everything on their "computers." My wife and I ended-up not getting a hotel room that evening within 30 miles of Carlisle. We're wondering what the service would have been like if we hadn't already been Priority Club members!
