Great value hotel for price paid
By Shyam, 6/7/11
Pros: Friendly owner, Old but Clean functional room, Proximity to Hershey (about 10 miles), Free breakfast (very basic but better than having to hunt for food in the mornings), Taco Bell right next door and lots of other food places around, Overall great value for price paid per night. Cons: Parking lot/front side under renovation (will have to experience dust and noise at this time) but should all be great once they are done with it.

Place to crash
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/9/06
This is simply a place to crash for a night if you want to be close to Harrisburg. Very cheap cab ride back to the hotel after a night out with friends. If you consider yourself to have really high standards you probably won't like this place, but if you are easy-going and on a budget its perfectly acceptable. I will come back, and I will recommend it to friends who don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a place to sleep.

Worst hotel experience of my life
By DanG, 8/22/05
This hotel advertises "clean, comfortable and newly renovated". Nothing can be further from the truth. We arrived at our room at 3:00 a.m. If we weren’t traveling with small children, we never would have stayed there once I discovered the spider infestation in the room. Cobwebs covered both the back and front doors of the room. The light in the entry way was burned out and we did not immediately see the numerous cobwebs and spiders that blanketed the back entry, bathroom area and door. Since it was late, we quickly got the kids in bed. I then noticed that the room’s ceilings were covered with spider webs. We caught and killed at least 6 huge spiders that were hanging from the ceiling, walls, and doors. We also removed numerous spider eggs that were attached to the webs located inside of the room near the back door. When I complained about the spiders everywhere in the room, the manager mumbled something to the person who was ringing me up that he should take $10 off. He never spoke to me or asked me if I thought that compromise was reasonable. I did not. The room reminded me of a haunted house at Halloween. In addition, the linen on the beds and the towels and washcloths were threadbare and stained. The sheets barely fit the mattresses and came untucked each time I rolled over during the night. The air conditioning has some type of mold or allergin growing in it. When I turned it on, within minutes my chest became constricted and I started coughing. Although a continental breakfast was advertised, only a few very small doughnuts and muffins were available. We split them with another guest who was trying to get enough food for his kids. No napkins, plates, silverware, tongs, etc. were available. No place to sit was available, as two chairs and 2 tables were provided, but two people were already using them. We asked a worker about getting more food and getting some plates or even napkins and he shrugged has shoulders and walked away. Orange juice was available, (with cups) – but the juice had clearly been diluted. Although the hotel advertised a pool, the pool was not open until 1:00 pm. (Pool hours posted on the gate say 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm.) When I complained about this, I was told that all outdoors pools open after 12 noon because of insects flying into them at night and they need time to clean. Obviously, this motel has a terrible infestation of bugs. I was charged $82.00 for the worst hotel experience of my life.
