Notice how all of the good ratings don't have a name attached to them? It's because they are fake. This place is disgusting, and has horrible service. Had a "non-smoking room", which basically only meant that nobody was smoking in it right then. It took a week to get the smell out of my clothes and bags. They refused to move me to another room, so I had to just suck it up and move to another hotel (with no refund).

We were their for two nights with my son who is going to University of Oregon. we had long drive to hotel. when we checked in to hotel staff was so helpful and friendly even at late night. I will go back to this hotel every time when I am in Eugen. Love the room so clean and bed was comfortable.

I had a non smoking room and the room was above a smoking room and smelled so bad. I told the owner about it he was as rude as possible. Told me "listen to me I am not going to repeat myself, you have to close your window it is coming from outside and not the bathroom. I am not going to change your room because you are already in this room. I will charge you extra if I move you." I said is this your customer service and he said "yes it is, yes it is. I can't tell people below you not to smoke" When I checked in, the fridge had left over food from the person who was there before me. I didn't get room service at all. Horrible, don't even think about it. you are throwing your money out.

What a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nobody at the desk upon arrival at 6:30 in the evening. Buzzed for the person (manager?). He walked out, didn't say a word, smile or anything. I gave him the name, he said "fill this out". He charged me more that the price I was quoted (even allowing for taxes). Then he proceeded to tell me that I hadn't booked a room for three people. I explained I did. for 1 adult and two kids. He said I didn't know how to book a reservation. Over and over he said I only booked for one, then tried to show me so on a confimation, where I pointed out to him that it said 1 adult and 2 kids, just as I had said. When he finally gave me the key, we opened the door to the room, and cigarette smoke practically came billowing out. The room was digusting. Cigarette burns on the bedspreads, etc. I told him we would not be able to stay in it (the smoke smell was sooooo strong). He said that was what I booked and again pointed to the confirmation. He was correct that 'non-smoking' did not show up on the reservation, (although, I wasn't sure how that happened). However, he again told me over and over how I did not know how to book a room. I explained I travel all the time, but have never had a problem like this. He said they were full and there were no other rooms available, that I would have to take the room. I said I would have to find a room elsewhere. He said I would get NO money back, as a cancellation had to be made 24 hours in advance. So there I was, a woman, stuck in Eugene with two kids, needing to find a room with a convention in town. Eventually we did. So I paid for two rooms that night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can see a fee, but not a full price knowing he would rent it. Anyway, my advice...BUYER BEWARE!

The decor of the room was so cute and homey, the bed was very comfortable for a motel bed and the continental breakfast was a nice plus. I will stay again.

Our room was very comfortable and quiet! My wife and I really liked the way the room was decorated. We will Definately go back when we travel to Eugene to see the Ducks play football!

First of all, check the name on the reviews. One of them is from "Franklin Manager". That should tell you something. We stayed at the Franklin on Christmas Eve '04. We had 2 rooms which, interstingly enough had the same problem. The bathroom doors were too large for the doorways. It was like they received a shipment of big doors and hung them anyway. The promised "deluxe" continental breakfast was day old muffins and Tang. This place will do if you arrive at midnight with an 8:00 am getaway. Otherwise, don't.

Just stayed at the Inn based on the other positive reviews. Oh well. The negatives are the AC, shower (went hot/cold constantly)& remote control DID NOT work. Sink was plugged, rm not that clean, LOUD doors, bouncey bed, staff, 60$! for this rm?, smelled despite non-smoking rm, towels, small tv, tiny bathrm, & scary steps. The positives are lots of tv channels, location, small table with 2 chairs, & they had a microwave, hairdryer, iron, sm pool, fast speed internet, & frig (don't know if they worked). Risky choice to stay at but might work for some, although overpriced for the rm still!

I stayed at this hotel due to the ratings I read on this site. I was disappointed. I could not sleep because of the noise. The doors are old and you have to slam them to get them closed-so all night I heard our neighbors coming and going. The bed was not comfortable. Everytime I shifted positions the bed would bounce causing a wave. I could not keep the water temperature in the shower consistent so it went from cold to hot, which was very uncomfortable. The bathroom is extremely small. I was on the second floor and the stairway was dangerous. I would not advise anyone to use the stairway if they have any difficulty with balance or mobility. On the positive side it is close to the college and convenient to downtown. The rooms are cute and the microwave and fridge are handy to have.

very clean and quite rooms, excellent bed. I sleep like baby in this motel.
