Horrible, horrible place!
By brenna, 7/27/08
Online they make this hotel into a nice place to stay, however, it is not true at all! The staff was incredibly rude, the rooms were dirty, the breakfast was lame, and I will never stay at this hotel again! Sure the rooms are 600 sq.ft. +, but they are dirty, the appliances are old and gross, and the sheets were nasty. I do NOT recommend staying here!

Good and Bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/17/08
Only paying $75 for a one bedroon suite, you can't expect perfection. The hotel is in kind of a strange area. It is located on a busy street in what seems to be a residential area. Only has a small store/deli across the busy street. No restaurants with in walking distance, but some are up the street. The underground parking would be a little scary if you were a woman alone at night. During our weekday stay there was plenty of parking. If you have a large vehicle it may be difficult to maneuver around. Stairs are a bit of a pain when taking luggage in and out. The room was a bit shabby but seemed to be clean. Cheap rickety furniture. Our remote for the TV had masking tape holding in the batteries. Absolutly no kitchen utensils or appliances in the room. If you wanted to cook you would have to supply everything. It seems just a microwave would be better than having a stove with no utensils. The bedroom does not have a heater so if it is cold out and you want to stay warm at night you have to keep bedroom door open. Blankets on bed pretty thin. Sheets were clean and the maids seemed to do a good job. The hotel seemed to quiet down in the evening. I couldn't get the wireless internet connection to work the first day. The second day I got a strong signal but then it asked for a password...frustrating. The continental breakfast was nothing to speak of. A basket of apples, cold cereal, but who knows how long the milk had been sitting out on the counter, instant oatmeal, juice that ran out, coffee with powdered creamer. Loaves of bread in the bag where who knows who had their hand stuck in there. You can make your own waffles. Like I said, for the money it was fine.

Not what is advertised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/17/08
The pictures on their web site are of another time or place. They have no connection to reality there. The place was shabby beyond any reasonable expectations. Other guests were noisy on Friday night until after 1:00 am. The clerk on Friday night was wearing a dirty jacket that had dirt wear marks on it. The room and bedding stunk of smoke. A child could break the security lock. The furniture was peeling paint and very worn looking. They were working on the one set of stairs and when they finished there was dust and things from the work. Nothing in the cupboards to use with the stove. We signed up for a king bed and got a regular size. We had problems with the wifi and none of the clerks knew anything about it. And there were no instructions in the room. Also the Friday clerk needs to learn tact. The $10.00 hold on my card needs to be explained more as a "security hold" instead of incase you take anything like towels etc etc. This was a very disappointing waste of my money.

Not recommended

The hotel doesn’t look like the picture. It has a new paint job and most of the window heat/AC units were partially painted. The rooms have a nice layout and appeared to be clean. The kitchenette lacked anything to cook in or with, why have the range. The hallway by the entrance had strong cigarette odor and some remodeling was occurring which made the pool inaccessible. The service was the worst part. The airport shuttle driver was busy running an important errand so my sister had to wait over an hour for the service. The registration desk, maybe their policy, does not allow any early check-ins. They were very anal about 3:00, I have been in other hotels that will check and see if the room is ready. To finish off a less then pleasurable stay they called my sister’s room and my room and asked if we had checked out yet at 8am. It seemed odd but we could hear the other rooms in our hall being called also. A few small items, no washcloths, had to use a hand towel, low shower water pressure, broken chair, burnt out light bulbs, and out of order ice and pop machines. Checking out was a similar experience as checking in.

Outstanding!
By Curt, 10/6/05
The suite that I stayed in was huge, comfortable, quiet, cheap and clean. Free Wi-fi in the rooms, underground parking, close proximity to the airport - all served as part of a truly enjoyable stay.

Great time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/17/05
The service in the breakfast room was good. The staff was willing to help in any way possible. Very approachable. We made a switch from one room to another because the hide a bed was a little lumpy. Came to a great room! Good rates! Large sitting areas......very comfortable.

Motel accomidations Excellent...Airport pickup Very bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/30/04
My motel accomidations were very good, but when I returned to PDX, I had to call four times before a shuttle from the motel arrived to pick us up. I waited over an hour and a competitor even offered to take us to the Fortniter. When I confronted the manager of the motel, she denied getting any calls and said she wasn't responsible for the phone service from the airport to the motel. I am suggesting if you want to park and fly, go to another motel...
