BEST HOTEL EVER
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/07
THIS HOTEL IS BY FAR THE BEST IVE EVER STAYED AT. THE ROOMS WERE AWESOME , THE SERVICE EXCELLENT .BY THE WAY, I SHOULD EXPAIN THAT I AM A "JUNKIE" AND AM USED TO SLEEPING IN DUMPSTERS.TO HAVE A PLACE TO SHOOT UP THAT ACTUALLY HAS 4 WALLS AND SOME PRIVACY IS A REAL TREAT.I LOVE THE FACT THAT MY BLOOD CAN DRAIN INTO THE CARPETING AND DRY FAIRLY QUICKLY.EVEN THOUGH THE TOILET DIDNT WORK,IT WAS MORE MY STYLE TO JUST "PILE IT ONE". I THINK ILL GO ASK ABOUT MONTHLY RATES CUZ I MADE A LOT OF FREINDS HERE.WE SEEM TO HAVE A LOT OF SIMILAR INTERESTS.

Worst place ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/07
This place was a complete hole in the wall. A couple of us were working in town and it was about the best price we could find. Which was nice. But then we got in the rooms. In my Boss' room had water soaked floors he then got another room that was just barely tolerable. Then their was my room it was horrible the carpets, walls, sheets, pretty much everything was stained plus garbage everywhere and the TV didn't work. Then I went and asked for a different room also. The MANAGER handed me a key to a different room saying that she cleaned it herself and knows that it is clean. Complete Bull. The room was almost as dirty as the last one but this one at least had clean sheets and a TV that worked. The room was still scary enough though that I was still scared even to take a shower in the place. This is the worst place I have ever stayed in and I have been in alot of hotels.

Total Dump
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/06
This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I made the reservation on- line not realizing what the hotel was like. I drove around town stopping at EVERY hotel in town but there were no openings, so I was stuck with the Budget Inn Express. There was garbage piled up outside the room doors. The room was filthy and the sheets on one of the beds was dirty and hadn't been changed. The hotel management refused to do anything about it. There were cigarette burn holes on the chairs and carpet...and I was told my room was non-smoking! The corners, vents, and curtains were covered with cobwebs and the smoke from the rooms next door "floated" into the room through the vents. Needless to say...it was a sleepless night!

Not the same Westward Ho
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/06
The Westward Ho was a phenominal local Grand Forks landmark. However, the original owners sold this property in 1995. If you're expecting the fun property of old, it's gone. The cowboy boot shaped swimming pool was destroyed in the flood of 1997. The fantastic adjacent entertainment complex closed in 2001. Many people have fantastic memories of this old property. Unfortunately, the property is now all but gone. Do yourself a favor, enjoy all those great memories, and move on to another property.

great deal!
By Deb, 05/11/06
This may not the the Luxor or the MGM Grand but for the price and the convienience it is good. We went to Vegas for July 4th. We stayed at the Ho for about a week. We had rooms on the ground floor and could park right outside our door! where at most of the other hotels you have a parking garage, have to walk, then take an elevator after a trip through a casino, I want to just drive up to my room get out and go in, this is what you get! We went sight seeing during the days and walked the strip at night so we were only in the room to sleep, so it was perfect for us. We are in our mid 30's and were fine with it! There were 4 other couple's with us and no one complained about it. Our room did smell like smoke and we are not smokers but hey, it's Vegas! The restuarant there was great but we only ate breakfast there so I dont know how dinner was. Unless you are looking for luxury... this is a hit! When I go back I will definately stay here!

As Express as it gets
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/06
Me and my family needed a hotel and fast! We had been on the road all day and just wanted to go to bed. We would have slept anywhere...or so we thought. We stopped at the Budget Inn Express which clearly advertised "CLEAN ROOMS" on their sign. Once we got our room we stood there for about 5 seconds and were already making "this room is so dirty..." jokes. We clearly couldn't stay there. The room smelled nasty looked nasty and felt nasty.Unless you like it nasty, avoid this roach-tel. We hadn't even set our stuff down; we were out of there so fast.

Avoid at all costs!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/05
I should preface this by saying that the room at this dive was provided for me for free by a former employer, who was thoroughly embarrased at my report to him. A number of years ago, this was probably a nice place. However, things change. When I got there, I found out the old "Westward Ho", could easily just be shortened to "Ho", if the clientele had anything to say about it. I figured a free room was a free room...until I went in and discovered that the room I was given had never been cleaned. So I went back to the front desk to get another room. The person there gave me another key (no apology or anything), so I went to the next room. It smelled like smoke and mold...and then I noticed that the door had obviously been kicked in (while deadbolted) at some point in the recent past. The wood along the trim was completely splintered and the remaining trim was hanging and could be removed by a 2 year old. I also noticed big stains on the floor. My immediate thought was "This was blood"! I could have been wrong though...it might have been meth, which I also discovered is rather popular at this lovely establishment. At any rate, I decided I didn't want to get murdered at this joint, so I returned the key and got out of there as quick as I could!! I wouldn't recommend this rat-hole to anyone at all. The best thing that could happen to it would be if it was to burn to the ground.

Buget Inn
By Joanne, 06/21/04
We attended a soccer tournament in Grand Forks with eighteen 12 year old girls and stayed at this hotel, only because there we no other rooms available anywhere. This place is a dump, there are people living in this hotel with dogs and there is dog feces right outside your door. The dogs bark constantly. The water runs in the bathtub, there are spider webs everywhere. The rooms smell of mildew and mold. The outdoor hot tub water is green. The only thing that would help this hotel is a bulldozer. You can not dial an outside line from you room even though there are two phones in the room. It is disgusting!!!!!
