Nice visit
By Lisa, 03/19/09
We have stayed here at least 4 or 5 times. It has always been an enjoyable experience. Great location, clean, good service! We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Will never return.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/09
First the good - The executive room was nice at first glance. The breakfast buffet was great, and they were clearly the only service oriented employees in the building. Now the bad - Accessing the hotel is very difficult - from a large curve on a fast moving access road. There is a lot of construction and mud in the parking lot. Our room was not ready until 5:00pm (check in is at 4:00). There is one small elevator servicing the 5-story building we were in. We resorted to using the stairs that smelled of urine for our 2 days. The room had stains on the ceiling, broken lampshades and broken furniture. We attempted to play tennis and were given a number to call and make a court time, yet after numerous attempts we could reach no-one. We drove down to the courts - through a lot of construction mud, only to find the "pro" busy on the phone with a friend or spouse. The courts were booked all day, so bringing our raquets was a waste of time. You can't rent movies there. Finally, the resort was hosting a convention, which many locals attended - resulting in a dangerously overcrowded parking lot and access road. Some lanes were completely blocked by cars. The police and fire marshall were contacted by another hotel patron after we had no results in dealing with the management. We had to watch this circus for 2 hours before to party finally broke up and we could park our vehicle somewhere other than directly in front of the lobby. Never again will I book with a Crowne Plaza. There are plenty of better options in the Asheville area.

Never again
By Kaly, 12/29/08
We stayed over a Saturday night in the hotel and found it less than satisfactory. Though the room was clean (always a plus) and the bed was comfortable, there were several problems. First, there is construction going on, and though fortunately it was the weekend and we didn't have to *hear* it, we did have to see it so there was no attractive view from the room. Parking was less than adequate, we had to park in the construction mud, which was made worse by rain. Though the hotel advertises quiet rooms, we found the walls to be paper thin. I have actually never stayed in a hotel of any caliber that had so much noise from room to room. We could literally hear the conversations of neighbors from both sides. In addition the service seemed a bit lacking. There was no room service menu in the room and a call to the front desk resulted in a promise for a delivery of one, however it never arrived. All in all, I'd definitely choose a different hotel when visiting Asheville in the future.

Looking Forward to a return visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/07
The rooms were huge ! Clean and decorated nicely. We enjoyed having a small fridge in our room. We also enjoyed the balcony over looking the pool which was very nice and heated !!!!! We enjoyed the bar area with its quaint seating area with a fire place. There are TVs as well for the sport minded. We enjoyed a game there our selves ! Our only complaint is the resturant was slow and and its staff we found to be unfriendly. On a positive note though, the banquet staff was efficent and friendly, the food was yummy! We are looking forward to a return trip.

We look forward to returning this year (2007) for our third year in a row!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/07
We enjoyed the quiet setting. I would recommend this hotel to any business traveler or couple seeking a quiet stay in Asheville. We selected this hotel for it's convenient location. We were within a short drive to the Biltmore Estate and able to catch the main highway to go to other locations like Black Mountain. The only dislike we had was the entrance to the hotel was hard to find. Maybe more signs and more main entrance lighting would help. See you soon!

Great quality hotel for the price
By AlejandroS, 01/20/07
May be it is the season but I found the hotel to have great rooms at a rather low price for the quality. Highly recommended if you would like to spend a couple of days in Asheville and visit Biltmore.

Not Family Friendly at all !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/06
The hotel website offers services that are not actually offered at the hotel - heated outdoor pool, 24-hour lounge, never received a newspaper delivered to our room, had to pay $12.00 a night for a roll-a-way bed (no sleeper sofa as stated), and a RUDE, RUDE, RUDE staff. By the time we paid for the roll-a-way and our price line price, we could have got our own rooms not through priceline and stayed somewhere else. Regarding the pool - not open, it is seasonal - website says different. My children were very unhappy and dissapointed, which hurt me. Hotel provided a "gym" pass for a local "gym" but no children under 16 are allowed to enter. The staff was rude and we had a VERY UNPLEASANT INCIDENT at the hotel which upset me and made me feel as if I was "stupid" or "dumb", etc. and I am neither! And, it was not just our family, the staff also did this to another family at the hotel - which I personally witnessed - not just second hand stories being told. This was the staff at the front desk and restaurant. So nedless to say, this hotel is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. Also, our room was never cleaned. We got some towels dropped off to us and that was it! We go to Asheville at least 2 weekends a month - and I am afraid to use Priceline again for fear of getting this hotel again. I have been using Priceline's services since it started - I love it and recommend it to all my friends and family!!! But, this time has really made me want to rethink what I want to do on our next trip next weekend!

Get it together and it would be better
By Jennaya, 01/06/06
We had our wedding there, and my room, the bride had a water leak coming out of the ceiling. I thought they may have not charged us full price or maybe offered to move us, but they didn't. My guests has a pleasant stay with really nice rooma and comfy beds. I was in the unrenovated part of the hotel, rundown, and loud with construction. The food was GREAT! Most of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had a lot of problems getting my wedding coordinator from the hotel to stay the same person. They seem to have a large turnover, which was confusing. At one of the turnover's the hotel didn't even know we were having the wedding reception there at all. However they got it together and the reception was beautiful!! Although we did have a slight problem with a few bored security guards who were harrassing a few of the groomsmen after the reception. I understand if they were loud, but Hopefully I will only be married once and I would have liked to enjoy it and be with my wedding party even after the reception without being harrassed, considering we had almost the entire hotel rented out for the wedding.

Service was VERY poor if at all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/05
Hotel was dated, but was clean. The staff was less than helpful. Left a charger in the room and realize it with 20 minutes of leaving called back and was told someone would go get it and call me back. It has been over 24 hours and I have called back 3 times and each time have been told someone will call your right back and NO one even the manager has not called me back. Also double charged the room on the credit card has has not been credited back yet after 3 days. Still waiting and have called about this as well. Was told it will reverse out in a couple of days... Pick some where else would be my advise.
