Description

The Omni Charlotte Hotel is approximately seven miles from the Charlotte International Airport and is connected via glass-enclosed skyway to several business, cultural, and entertainment districts, such as the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, Time Warner Cable Arena, The Epicentre and the corporate headquarters of Bank of America and Well Fargo Bank. The hotel is a few blocks from the Charlotte Convention Center. Amenities at the hotel include a fitness center, business and meeting facilities, and seasonal rooftop swimming pool and sundeck. Hotel services include the Omni Kids Program, professional concierge staff, dry cleaning/laundry services, shoeshine, express check-in/out, and valet or self-parking in the garage. The newest addition to the hotel is Trade Restaurant and Bar, which features a modern twist on traditional comfort cuisine. Room service is also available around the clock. The Omni offers 365 rooms and suites, all with city views. Rooms feature flat screen tv??s, wireless internet access, complimentary USA Today newspapers, fully-stocked refreshment centers, hairdryers, coffee and tea, irons and ironing boards, bathrobes, desks, and two dual-line phones.

Great Hotel

I gotta say it was a pretty good hotel. The only thing i would suggest to you guys is making sure you book it online at SweetHotelDeals. N e t. I did a bunch of searching for hotel prices and that site seems to have the lowest prices all around. Enjoy your stay!

Great Hotel, excellent location, awesome staff!!!

This hotel is changing things now then they have in the past! They have better staff, a top notch chef that they just hired from a top rated Omni Hotel, and also the elevators are being upgrading this year to make them faster and nicer looking. Also, the Restuarant and bar are currently being renovated an should be reopened by mid-may 2011. If you have had a bad experience at this hotel in the past, I highly recommend giving them a second chance because they are better staffed, nicer rooms, better quality food, faster elevators, & most importantly they will do what it takes to please you here so that you have a great stay and wanna stay again!

Great Hotel, Top notch service!!!!!!!

The hotel is in a great location, not to badly priced, and is currently going through a major renovation that will only improve this hotel. The elevators are very slow, but the hotel is updating them now by replacing each elevator with a new one over this year. Also the rooms are cleaner, new tv's, and now feature a minibar that can be used as a fridge by pushing the minibar items to one side. This hotel is worth giving a second chance to and if you never been before you should go next time your in Charlotte. Also, quality service..

We will stay in a dump before the OMNI

The service sucked on this place. When we got there we had to pay a 50.00 deposit...which no one told us about. He claimed this was on the website...the customer next to us reminded the rude service person that not all people have access to the internet. We continued to explain that we did not reserve the room on their website..the clerk did not care and was obstinate. NO ACCESS to a refrigerator except for a 10.00 a day fee. No one told us about a 8.00 fee for parking...A DAY! In the parking deck there is a sign that clearly says "Welcome to Bank of America and the Omni Hotel". However according to the hotel clerk the next day, the Omni does not own the parking deck so therefore, we had to pay 8.00 a day for parking! They were suppossed to give us a pass for parking and we did receive one. When we left, we had to repark and go back in the hotel lobby and get one! The clerk never apologized for the inconvenience or didn't say thank you for staying at the Omni. The overall service was horrible. We will not stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not Bad For The Price

The location of the hotel couldnt be better, there are lots of great bars, pubs, and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very nice and clean. My only complaints are that we had to pay 8 dollars a day for self parking, or 12 a day for valet. Everything in the room cost money, even the coffee! 2 packs of starbucks coffee were 2.95! Most hotels give you free coffee. Wifi was 10 dollars a day! There was a bottle of water in the room for 6 dollars. I think that was insane. Other than all that, its a nice place.

wonderful time

my friend and I went to charlotte for the weekend. the staff was very nice. the room very clean. I read the negative reviews and must say I did not experience any problems. I am used to staying at four and five stars hotels, this one was nice enough. the location was wonderful. would go back and plan to in December.

STAY AWAY

a truly AWFUL experience...horrific customer service and the air conditioning didn't work in any of our 3 rooms!! it was the middle of June! just an overpriced awful place to stay. better off in a Days Inn rather than this place.

HORRIBLE!!!

First, the parking is so tight that you can't hardly fit you car in a spot. They don't tell you that it's 8.00 to park your own car not to mention that you have to walk forever to get to a elevator. The price of the hotel room was more that what they said. When we got to the room, I took a shower and went to get out and the floor was filled with water. We paid over 200.00 dollars for one night. I will never stay here again

Nice Hotel - The WORST coffee

Bring your own coffee; I drink close to a gallon a day and have for 40 years now, but the coffee at the Omni was in fact the very worst I've ever encountered in my whole life. MY WHOLE LIFE! Even in England I was able to find a better a cup of joe.

Comfortable and Pleasant Stay

First time stay at the Omni and must say it was comfortable and pleasant..Front desk staff was informative and helpful and very professional as well as the room service staff. Rooms were small but comfortable and clean. Lunch was fair but morning breakfast was on time and excellent! If there was a need to stay down town again, I would nbot hesitate to stay once again at the OMNI-Thank You for a comfortable stay
