Holiday Inn Crabtree Valley, Raleigh

At first glance it the hotel appears to be very well kept however after watching a huge ROACH( see 1, there are probably thousands more) creep across my bathroom ceiling, I took a closer look at everything. I understand the hotel is old however it should not be obvious, for example instead of resurfacing the bath tubs, a plastic mat was glued to the tub to hide the rust/grime. The stairwells were dirty, noticed that because the elevator had a mind of its own, but I guess you get what you pay for. I will pay a few more dollars next time.

Clean room, nice simple appointments. But why do they have to type all that stuff when you check in? Can't you just give me my key? I had a reservation, come on!!! The breakfast crew was short a person, but they really did their best to make up for it.

I really did not care for the room it was clean , but not very attractive at all. The wall paper looked like it was put up like it was dark in the room, the view out of my window as dismal. The sheets would not stay on the mattress. This made sleeping very uncomfortable.It was an average room, for not an average price

WHEN YOU GET TO THE HOTEL, THE LOBBY IS NICE. BUT WHEN YOU GET INTO THE ROOM, IT IS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM ONE OF THE HOTEL GIANTS. THE ROOM LOOKED LIKE THEY JUST FINISH CONSTRUCTION IN A HURRY, THE SHEETS WOULD NOT STAY ON THE BED. THE GUY AT THE FRONT DESK ACTED LIKE HE COULDNT FIND OUR RESERVATIONS, AND WANTED MY CREDIT CARD FOR INCINDENTAL LIKE THEY HAD A BAR OR REFRIG IN THE ROOM, THEIR WAS NO CONTENTIAL BREAKFAST, MAYBE THAT WOULD MADE OUR STAY A LITTLE BETTER

We had a short stay over in Raleigh, and we were very pleased with the hotel and the hotel staff. Great stay, and a great location...close to everything.
