Masters Inn Statesville, Statesville

My Mom, myself & 2 kids stayed there for one night on our way to Sugar Mountain. I had made a reservation & everything went off without a hitch. Came right off of I-40 & spotted the hotel right away. The employees were very friendly & the room was just as expected - which was satisfactory for a night or two. Included a microwave & small fridge. I feel that we received our moneys worth as it only cost $43.00. The next morning we had the free continental breakfast: juice, coffee, small powdered doughnuts & hot waffles as they do provide the mix ready made & the waffle maker. We were given clear & friendly directions to our next destination. The location was good for us being close to the interstate & with plenty of restaurants & shopping nearby. The only thing that I could find fault with was the fact that there was no coffee maker or hair dryer in room & the toilet could have used a better cleaning but they don't advertise to be a luxury hotel. Beds were clean & comfortable & shower had plenty of pressure & lots of hot water.

i liked how close it was to resturants and stores. $38 bucks a night isnt bad either.but the picture of the room and my room are very different mine is very old and dated. its called the master inn i call it the creepy inn.the room was not very clean.luckily the walmart is very close i went an bought some cheap bedding and disinfectant, the fridgerator does not get cold,basically i would describe it as section 8 housing, people seem to live here.i will not come back here,and would definatley not bring kids here.

the rooms were clean smelled really good staff was great they treated all of us real good would do it again and we had 16 rooms there thank you so much

After hearing that the hotel was under new ownership, I went back to check it out. I was impressed by the changes made not only in the rooms but the property itself. There is increased security and renovated rooms as well as a better family friendly atmosphere. The staff seemed very eager to help and even showed me the rooms before checking me in. The location is extremely convenient with numerous restaurants and shopping destinations within walking distance! I'm so glad that there is a new ownership because it's the best valued place to stay in town, and now it's just as competitive with every other aspect of a hotel.
