A Jersey Girl Loves It

The Sagamore is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. You can stay in the main hotel (nice) or in logde suites, off by the edge of the island, in either a conventional suite or a loft type room. I have been in both, and have no complaints. The Large kitchen in the lodge suites is very helpful with a family, as is the fridge and the flatware and the appliances...its just like home!
The only problem I have ever had is with spiders (the lodge suites are right off the water in a woodsy area, with views of the lake) but when we complained they quickly and happily offered to move us to another room, no problem. The shore area is wonderful, with a safe swimming area, and the spa, the indoor pool, the gym, the shops, the resturants...its wonderful. YOu should visit the main town, and see those shops, (especially the Teepee shop) (and the Algonquin resturant!) but the Sagamore is so nice you won't want to tear youself away. I admit, it is pricey, but after all, its called a vacation.
