Always consistant...
By Al, 03/19/06
I grew up in Bay Shore and my mother still lives nearby. Both my Mother and I have recommended the Summit Inn to both family and friends many times. I have stayed there. It is an older motel but very clean, staffed by very nice and friendly people and is a reasonably priced room. Their parking lot is particularly well-lit and provides easy in-and-out to the street. Well located, to boot, there are many fine places to have a meal ranging from fast-food to elegant with everything in-between. As one is on the South Shore of Long Island there is some of the best and freshest seafood available on the planet Earth! Again, these restaurants range from family-friendly to white table cloth. Because many are located within viewing distance of the water or located adjacent to it, the views are GREAT--and, typically free!! One last note, as the Summit Inn is located directly next to a shopping center there are additional places to eat and shop. A single or family would be comfortable staying at the Summit Inn.

carpets are filthy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/04
Rooms are ok, altho quite dated, except the carpets are so dirty that a brief walk around in socks or bare feet leaves them quite soiled. I had to clean my feet off after showering and walking around the room, before dressing/putting shoes on.

Econo Bay Shore
By Rose, 04/11/04
Renovated rooms and service - very friendly
Is always the place I recoemmend visitors to stay. Out of all the local Econo Lodge's this is by far the best! The suite is worth the few extra bucks!
