Dirty, cheap motel with a sensible smell due to the dumpster they keep under the rooms. Uneducated staff with lack of manners and respect; if you don’t want to do what they ask / suggest, or if you decide you don’t want to eat at their cheap restaurant, then they service you in a different manner. Our room in particular smelled really bad, the bathroom was dirty, and tiles were broken and worst of all: no soap, no towels. At 6AM a gardener (illegal immigrant I believe) started making noises right outside our room (room 26….if you ever make the mistake of going, tell them not to give you this room) And the worst part, they charge, for off-season bookings, $295 per night for this rat hole? You can get 3 nights for a little more in a nice trendy hotel in London or even in Green Point. Don’t do it. Ask Ellen, the manger, and she will yell and hang-up on you

Worst and dirties place ever on earth. When my wife and I arrived to this motel - they like to call themselves an inn- the place was dirty and not ready; we were there only for one night and decided to stay regardless of the situation. The manager, Ellen, who abruptly raises her voice “ordering” you around, thinking that even guests work for her, claimed that, all of the sudden, her maids had found a hole in one of the room’s walls, after we had already checked-out. Probably the timing that we chose -being during their last off-season weekend- and clearly she wasn’t doing well in terms of occupancy, we only saw a few other rooms occupied, she decided to charge us $75 dollars for her lack of management and her staff’s lack of professionalism, since both, her maid and her, were well aware that we left the room in good conditions; they might’ve need to make-up an excuse to charge us for something we didn’t do. Don’t ever stay, not because of what I just described, simply because it is too expensive for the quality of rooms and the type of service that they offer. For $300 dollars, we just booked, 4 night at a nice hotel in London…not a cheap, dirty motel in L.I.

My husband and I loved the Rustic Charm, of feeling like we were in an era gone by, our room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful private balcony with the view we were looking for in our stay. We enjoyed our refreshing dip in the crystal clear and clean pool. The beach area was also well amintained with staff raking up any seaweed that had washed up on the beach. We had a 1 1/2 room suite that we enjoyed very much, already trying to figure out when we can go back before the summer ends. I don't know where some of the other reviewers stayed, as we certainly did not experience a musty or mildew smelling room. Our bed was quite comfortable and room was spotless. We found the motel to be peaceful and quiet, with the sounds of the water lapping on the shore to lull us to sleep. Thanks for a great stay. The Clarke-Elliotts

We were there last summer and will never go back. Not only did we spend $380 a night (it was my 40th bday) but it smelled, needed work, could tell they could care less, needs some updating and very very noisey. We barely slept from all the cars/trucks that went by. it might be on the water and that's pretty much what you are paying for because the rest was horrible.

The view is beautiful! The pool is great and the restaurant is on the water. Sunsets are one of a kind. The only problem is the traffic noise from the road at night. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay.

The rooms need to be renovated they have been that way since 1950's, they smell from mildew. Horrible accomadations. The restaurant the food was excellent and a great view, the waitress was pleasant and curtious. The floor could have been cleaner.
