Mediocre at best
By Jess, 03/03/09
Our stay here was mediocre at best. Things were a bit grungy and outdated, but everything was clean and the bed was impeccable. Our door was broken. Initially it wouldn't let us in - it took 10 tries with the key card. At one point, we were actually locked into our room! Thankfully the maid let us out. We were stoked about the pool, but were dismayed once we got there. There were unmonitored children of all ages everywhere! They were rude, didn't follow ANY of the stated pool rules (ex: jumping when the signs clearly state "NO JUMPING"), and were disrespectful to all the adults who actually were in the over-crowded pool. My husband actually had a girl literally jump on him and claw him! That was it for us! Don't stay here if you don't have children. And if you have children, make sure that the bad manners of the unruly pool cherubs doesn't rub off on them.

Very Impressed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/08
I don't know how people can say it is the worst hotel they have ever stayed at - obviously they dont get out much! I have been traveling for many years and this year - my flight leaving the country was out of Buffalo. While my trip was completely ruined by some very uncooperative Delta agents @ BUF - which made us actually miss our flight and LOSE our vacation - the saving grace was the friendly staff and comfortable rooms at the Millennium. First off - the night we arrived - we had a gorgeous room on the first floor - looking out on the courtyard, the nice big jacuzzi tub also impressed me. After working all day - then driving from Toronto we were both starving...however that night, there was also an ice/freezing rain storm...and the hotel along with the rest of the block lost power, but the manager actually drove us to and from another restaurant in his own vehicle so we could have dinner....can you say above and beyond??? It wasn't just that though. The rest of the staff was great and very friendly....the staff in the bar area later that night, the girls in the restaurant the next morning, even the room service guy. As I had mentioned, our vacation was ruined - but we also had to stay an extra night to wait and see if Delta could get our luggage back...it was on its way to the Bahamas...just not us. Even though it was only 9am - and we were long checked out of our first room (did so at 4am) they quickly found us another room and let us check in immediately...which was amazing seeing as the last thing we wanted to do was sit around in a lobby or restaurant for hours after we had just lost our vacation. So I say its a great hotel. With great, accommidating staff. I would definitely stay there again....

Millenium Buffalo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/07
Hotel overall was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool area was a little dirty due to the real trees growing in the courtyard - an OK tradeoff. Only real complaint was that the room air conditioner was underpowered. Included breakfast was excellent. Kids enjoyed staying on the 7th floor. No noise whatsoever was heard from other rooms. Would stay again.

Poor Quality very dissapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/26/06
This hotel was dissapointing. It is not upscale or first rate. The van driver was very nice. The other staff not so nice. The rooms are dark and need more lighting and new carpet, but maybe that is why they keep the rooms so dark. They are large rooms but in need of a renovation. No hot water at 7pm. The restaurant service was slow but food o.k.

Very disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/05
I chose this hotel specifically because it had good reviews. The lobby/pool area was impressive...as well as the size of the room. But it was definitely lacking in the housekeeping department. I was so disgusted. First, the towels in the bathroom had makeup dried on them. Since there were four towels and only the two hanging towels seemed to be dirty...we considered this gross but not a big deal. Then I pulled down the comforter and found blood stains on its inside. It didn't look as if it had been washed since the blood got on it. The sheets were also dirty - gross. The lock on the door was hanging by one hinge. Other than that - the staff was very kind and helpful. They offered to put us in another room - but with new linens on the beds, we chose to stay in that room. Cleanliness is my biggest reason for staying at hotels...I won't be returning to this one.

Stay away from this hotel.
By Jeffrey, 10/04/05
I booked a room over the phone several months in advance. Was coming to the Buffalo/Niagara area to give the state of New York some of my hard earned money. I reserved a smoking room in the courtyard. I was looking forward to what I could see & sounded like a nice place to relax and enjoy the hotel. I come to find out that I didn't have a 2nd floor room like reserved. Nor a room near the courtyard but way back in the back of the hotel. The staff behind the desk then failed to let me know the proper way into the room while I wasted my time going around the back to enter the room but to find it locked from within the room. I thought someone was in the room and they had made a mistake. The lady behind the desk was then so rude and looking at me like I was an idiot when I came back asking about the door being locked. She then told me that I was supposed to enter in from an interior hallway instead of the outside door. Well gee...I guess I was supposed to be a mind reader. Some reunion overbooked the hotel and took all the courtyard rooms and while other customers that reserved rooms way in advance could not be delivered what was advertized and reserved. Luckily there was no cancelation fee when I stormed out mad and canceled my room for two nights. Made one phone call and found a room in Niagara Falls with a jacuzzi in the room for $30.00 less then the rate at the Millennium. I can see why this hotel lost one point over the last year and if it wasn't for the aiport this hotel would not exist. You have been forewarned. Don't let the Airport and Mall take you into a fools paradise. Unless you are stranded at the Buffalo Airport...Don't stay here!

Would return instantly!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/05
This airport-convenient hotel is a new acqusition and being remodeled, but still afforded v. good accomodations which will only improve. Great pools; limited exercise room. This is an extremely good location, not too far from city and Falls or many local sight-seeing venues and good restaurants - although a car would be necessary. Buffalo is an excellent vacation & historic/cultural destination with innumerable art & science museums (don't miss the carousel museum!); it boasts an outstanding symphony, all in addition to a natural Wonder of the World - Niagara Falls. Visit the locks on the Erie Canal; see a most educational air museum! Other interesting outlying districts include E. Aurora & the Roycroft Inn, Viddler's 5&10 + shops not to be missed. There's a new casino downtown, baseball, and the Bills. GO for a great vacation destination!
