Do not stay here

We spent two nights at this hotel after spending the previous thirteen nights changing hotels every night for an extensive journey across half of the country. I was really looking forward to spending more than one night somewhere only to be checked into a room with peeling wallpaper, paint peeling off the ceilings, cobwebs in the windowsills, a huge red blotch smeared in the middle of the window (ketchup? smashed insect?), black mold in the tile grout, and the bottom of the tub so dirty it honestly seemed to be a health hazard.
I asked to have our room changed, which they did, but I must admit the new room had the same black mold in the grout, the tub was only a little cleaner and the window was covered with smeary handprints. However, since the window wasn't covered in a bloody /food substance and the wallpaper wasn't coming down around us, I tolerated it in the name of not changing hotels again.
The hotel was very disappointing--too bad because the area is great. We will definitely return, but not to the Holiday Inn.
