4 reviews for Holiday Inn Binghamton Downtown, Binghamton
The location is what sells the place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/04/06
For downtown Binghamton, this hotel is a pretty good choice since it is within walking distance to the arena and the "State Street Strip" of bars & clubs frequented by the college students as well as other downtown happenings. I did hang out at the Vegas nightclub and it was pretty good. The room was okay, not overwhelming for the price you're paying but it wasn't bad even though the flourescent light was flickering in the bathroom area (they did fix it). The one thing that DID stink, which lowered my value factor, was the fitness room. There were two bikes that didn't work, one elliptical bike that once you've pedaled sounded like a private jet! The treadmill was so-so and NO weights. The fitness room definitely needs an upgrade and BADLY! Other than that, for the night the room was comfortable. Though for the review I gave with the price, unless they fix up the fitness room, they should knock $15 off.

Tiki Bar = Fun al fresco
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/06
It's the dining experience I'll address, in particular the Wednesday night Tiki Bar on the riverfront patio. Easy to get to, excellent parking, reasonable prices, good service, great food, BUT no music! The Tiki Bar experience just isn't the real deal unless you are drinking and dining to the sounds one expects to hear when you are anywhere assuming to be a Tiki Bar. Island beats, party sounds, and a little Jimmy Buffett on the menu please! That is all that was missing, and it was glaringly absent. the sound of other diners' forks and clinking glasses just isn't the authentic experience. Don Winfield, VP POTSPHC

We can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/05
I liked courteous service they provide, breakfast & lunch are delightful. I dislike the workout gym, equipment is dated must be improved for the price paid to stay there. pool should be opened for longer hours, especially when they conventions. But all in all they are an excellent hotel that makes you feel at home when you're there!!!!!!!!
