Nice hotel but much like any Super 8 or Motel 6
By ,
Really great staff that makes you feel welcomed. Dog friendly (extra fee). Very convenient to the Plaza. The rooms are clean but very boring (white popcorn-textured ceilings, beige walls, blah art- Kind of late 80s looking)- I have been in many far nicer LaQuinta and Super 8 rooms in the SW. The lamp on the desk had chips in the varnish giving it a tacky look. The bathroom was small but nice but had no fan. The air conditioner rattled. The toilet broke but was fixed right away. The giant tv was nice. It was a good place to stay but rather disappointing as I was hoping for more of a Santa Fe atmosphere. I'd stay there again if I got as good a discount rate (50% off)as I did but it is not worth the full price.

good luck

Security will treat you like a criminal, then lie about it so you won't sue them. Nasty management. Incredibly untrained staff - especially security, which is made up of oored guys who apparently are itching for some kind of police action-adventure and when there is none, they create it.

Great location but pretty shabby
By ,
We booked a four night "Hilton Romance" package that boasted oversize room, in-room bottle of wine, complimentary full breakfast and 2-for-1 dinner coupons. Boy were we disappointed. Front Desk: Obviously need training; not efficient or friendly. Maybe off-season staff? At check-in, the staffer asked her cohort what the package meant. The reply, "Not much, just give 'em breakfast slips." From there, the stay went downhill. It took three daily trips to the front desk to finally get the promised bottle of wine. Never received any dinner coupons. Upon checkout, I found they had billed our room for three breakfasts despite the vouchers. Took 15+ minutes to rectify the overcharge (and one still made it to my charge card). Not the slightest hint of apology or regret from the clerk. Room: Our oversize room was exactly same layout as regular room except for extra 2 feet in length. Bed was comfortable. Room in sorry disrepair: broken lamps, mold growing in the tiny, shoddy bathroom, wallpaper peeling off and amateurish patching of holes in wall. First time I tried to set the temperature on the in-wall, motel grade air conditioner, the cover fell off on my toe! The unit was so noisy, it was difficult to hear the TV. The only bright spots were the proximity to the Plaza and the exceptional service in the little breakfast cafe. Avoid this one. You can do much better for the price in other hotels adjacent to Old Town. The corporate Hilton folks should be ashamed of this one. The price says "Hilton", but the facilities and the poor service don't come anywhere near to its namesake's reputation.

Perfect Location & Stay!
By ,
Great location with many things in walking distance from great shopping, museums and yummy eats. Friendly staff, loads of local information from the concierge & comfortable stay. Quaint bar located in El Canon, enjoyed a few nightcaps and romantic fireplace. Room service was excellent in regard to food and service. Will stay here again.

Will stay at another Hilton
By ,
The personnel were friendly from the minute we arrived. We arrived early and they accomodated us. We even had to change rooms because of poor TV reception and had a better view overlooking Santa Fe. The concierge,Gloria could not be more helpful especially to my children. Everyone was wonderful. "The excercise room was very nice and there were many working machines. I liked the story telling on the walls, in The Pinon Grill." Per my daughter.

Will not go back!!
By ,
Paid $199 for a room with two double beds. Rooms were very small. Only options were Single King or two doubles. Arrived at 4:30 pm on a Friday and room was not ready - had to wait 30 mins. Pool was dirty and the hot tub did not work. Charged guest $15 per night for parking.
