Can't wait for my next trip.
By ,
We had stayed at this hotel before it was under new management. I cannot say that it was the greatest stay but it was decent for the price we paid. Now under new management we have had a great experience staying here. The pricing was great. Customer service was great. The front desk clerk was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The rooms are pretty comfortable. The internet is great if you have access to it. You have got to try the swimming pool and the hot tub. This place has one of the nicest pools compared to some other hotels in the area (within this price range of course). Overall, I love staying at this hotel. We continue to have great experiences, and will continue to stay here each time we come to visit.

First Time Visitors
By ,
I loved this hotel. My husband, daughter, and I stayed here back in June, we had a blast. Taos is a very nice town with great places to eat, see beautiful sites, relax, and enjoy yourself. Commanche Inn was under new management and everybody was very nice and helpful. I think the new owners have done a great job, and will continue to do so. I can't wait to go back and visit again.

Awful - Don't even go there!
By ,
This is by far the absolutely worst hotel I've every stayed in. The rooms smelled of smoke, (even the non-smoking rooms)the carpet was filthy, the sheets and towels were threadbare, the heater did not work (in the middle of a blizzard) and there was no one on staff to fix it. Staff did not seem to care, and the housekeeping counted each threadbare towel (as if we'd want to take them home). Very outdated, unclean and just an overall unpleasant experience. (We can laught about it now!)

Horrible Hang Out Joint
By ,
We showed up at 0200 and the boy working said he couldn't rent rooms after 0145 unless we were paying cash and didnt need a receipt. Tha was a red flag. Before we went any furthur we asked if we could use the restroom and he said the water was turned off in the entire hotel. But he was going to offer us a room at the "cash" price knowing there was no running water. We RAN really fast right out of there. Also, there were teenagers sleeping and hanging out all over the lobby. It looked a mission for the homeless. We are glad we didn't stay.

what a dump
By ,
The staff was inefficient and cold. The place was dismal-a dump. The bathroom looked like something out of the 50's. The windows would not open. Overall and unpleasant stay.

CLOSE TO EVERYTHING
By ,
ROOM EQUALS PRICE, RICKIES REST. INSIDE THE HOTEL HAD FAST SERVICE, VERY GOOD FOOD , FRIENDLY SMILES ALL AROUND. HOT TUB - LARGE, POOL CLEAN [ BOTH INSIDE ] VERY CLOSE TO THE " PLAZA " WHERE ALL THE ARTY SHOPS RESIDE. GOOD STAY. I WILL STAY AGAIN ON ANOTHER TRIP.

Avoid at all costs!
By ,
It was impossible to get a good sleep here. It seems that locals use the parking lot as a hangout (atleast during the weekend). At all hours of the night, loud music would be blasted from cars in the parking lot. Also, I had a room for two nights. Everything I left in the room the first day was gone by the time I came back the second night. The housekeeping staff said they did not know I was staying more than one night. However, they would also not admit to taking or throwing away all my things. The front desk literally would not talk to me when I brought this up with them. They just stared back at me in silence. Sure, it's one of the cheaper places in Taos... but it is not cheap enough. It is absolutlely worth spending a little more a night to get away from this place.
