The Best of the Basics

We stayed here for 5 nights and were pleasantly surprised! Its not a fancy place, but provided everything we needed. It is very well maintained and was always very clean. The bed was very comfortable, something you don't always find in a basic place. There is a nice pool and spa, which are indoors, which is nice if you are there in cold weather. there are also some nicely planted areas which are nice to sit in. The continental breakfast is a little better than most, offering some healthy options. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I sure would recommend the Lamplighter

We were very pleased with the room. It was on the small size but we were only sleeping and showering in the room for the two nights we stayed in Santa Fe, otherwise we were on the go from day one seeing the sights. Overall, the motel was clean with a fabulous pool and great continental breakfast

Great Value

New carpet, comfortable beds, Awesome breakfast, great pool and spa, and a super friendly staff. We arrived early but they got us in with no hassle. The room smelled great, and was very nice for our needs. We enjoyed the pool and spa every day. A fantastic breakfast set up with so many choices. We stayed 5 days and we are completely satisfied. We will defiantly stay at the Lamplighter Inn the next time we go to Santa Fe to ski!

Over-priced!

This place is about $20 per night over-priced compared to similar lodging in the area.

Solid, comfortable, clean

We were given a kitchenette for the price of a regular room, which made me wish we were staying longer than just one night. The rooms were solid, clean, with everything we needed. We picked this hotel because of the laundry (had just been camping), but only one machine worked and the laundry was upstairs, which was a problem for us "oldies". Also, the clerk didn't have quarters. The hot tub & swimming area are beautiful. Breakfast was ok. Seemed to have good security.

CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, COMPARABLE TO A BEST WESTERN AT MOTEL 6 PRICE. ROOMS IN COURTYARD PREFERRABLE TO ROOMS FACING STREET. COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST ALSO GOOD VALUE.

Very friendly staff; beautiful little garden away from any traffic noise; wonderful but simple continental breakfast; great little coffee shop next door; extraordinary value at peak of Santa Fe's busy summer opera/tourist season!

Looking Forward To My Nex Visit

I liked everything about the Lamplighter Inn. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. Lamplighter Inn is conveniently located to stores, restaurants, public transportation. The complementary breakfast was excellent. There is a patio with picnic tables and umbrellas. The garden is beautiful. I enjoyed the swimming pool. The water was crystal clear blue and the pool and pool area were spotlessly clean. The Inn is maintained beautifully and cleaned everyday. Guests have a laundry room to do their wash or pay the staff to do the laundry. I definitely would recommend the Lamplighter Inn to Santa Fe visitors; and I intend to stay there again on my third visit to Santa Fe.

Excellent Stay

Have stayed here on several occasions since 2002. We enjoyed the rustic atmosphere on the second floor with its high ceilings and large rooms. It was extremely clean double bed. The breakfast is fine and adequately stocked. I always make it a point to stay here.
