1st and foremost the old lady that's at the front desk is very nasty and just gives off the worst vibes, its not a bad place but because of her I'll never return back there, and if you happen to go there be very careful when exiting, the bush on left side obstructs your view somewhat and there is always heavy traffic there.

My wife and I love this Moter Inn when we are in the area. Prices great.........Staff very profession......Rooms very big.........Very clean. Mall and flea markets minutes away and very easy to get to.

I really liked this place. I found the woman behind the desk very pleasant and helpful. She gave us directions to the bus, which was just a block away. The ride into the city was easy and short! And when we came back to the motel at 1 a.m. we weren't afraid at all to walk back to the motel. The room was a nice place to sleep, clean and quiet. Shower was nice and the beds were comfy. The day we left we let our car there and went into town for a few hours. Came back on the bus and our vehicle was still sitting there all packed and ready to go home. I can't wait to go back to NYC and to stay here. Its a nice place outside of the City. But if you want something fancy its not the place. But I like the simple things in life!

I was doubtful before we arrived at the Plaza Motor Inn in Secaucus. It was 1/3 - 1/5 the price of Manhattan Hotels. I figured it was too good to be true but it wasn't. The rooms were large, quite clean and quiet on our side of the Hotel. You can catch a bus to Manhattan Port Authority that run very frequently just around to corner (they have schedules at the front desk) and it only take 10 - 15 minutes to get there. The neighborhood is definitely safe with lots of normal people out at all hours (up to 1:30 AM). The Plaza Motor Inn is a very good choice for the BUDGET MINDED visiting New York. Its not fancy but why waste hundreds on a smaller hotel in Manhattan? You can get to Times Square in about the same amount of time as coming from the Upper East Side! I will stay there again.

I took a vacation tour from Knoxville, TN to NYC and stayed at this motel. I do not fault the inn. I fault the person I arranged the trip with (Sterltouch Travel in Knoxville, TN). I would never had stayed in the hotel if I had seen it before arriving. I will discuss the pluses of it first. Had I not paid for hotel in my vacation package price, it would have been a good value. By NJ Transit it is very close to NYC. The mini fridge in the room came in handy. Especially since there is only 1 restuarant within walking distance. But that one is very good (The Bagel Buffet). Now to the negatives... I am not used to staying in a hotel without a lobby. The elevator took up to 10 minutes to arrive and there are only 4 stores. We stayed on the first floor and there were not stairs you could take to go up. We had to wait on the elevator. The room was soooo old and had a very strange smell. They turn off the air conditioning during the day and open your windows. Which I found to be very bizzare. There was a lot of really suspicious traffic in and out of the place. I saw several men come in with business suits on accompanied by women with high heels and very short skirts. However, I noticed that most of them did not stay for the night. The parking lot always had a least 2 BMWs parked in it, but I never saw one parked overnight. The parking lot also had large containers of rat poison and several dead rats in it. The rats were there when we arrive on Thursday and were still there on Sunday. Would I ever stay in this hotel again? Heck, no! But if the above mentioned things does not bother you- enjoy your stay

The bus to NYC is right around the corner. The hotel is clean, secure ( video monitoring all around ). You must enter past the desk clerks. The staff was also very kind and helpful

Unsafe area. The car parked next to us was broken into. Unsanitary room, our bed sheets and blankets had cigarette burn holes in them. Rude and unhelpful staff.

I like this place, because of the price, free parking, the stuffs and the location to tranceportation. We parked at the hotel and took the bus to NY.

Great location at half the price of nearby hotels. Clean rooms with fridge, etc.
