A very pleasant hotel

I have stayed at the Kenilworth Inn at least 30 times, and have no complaints about it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. Also, the hotel is in a prime location, 15 minutes from the Newark Airport and 1 minute away from the Garden State Parkway.
I believe that the hotel was completely renovated a few years ago, and it shows. The lobby is airy and quiet. There is a very small bar that serves food until around 8 p.m. There is no room service, but they provide a list of local restaurants that deliver take-out. On Sundays they do a very good brunch off the lobby. The Inn is also a popular spot for parties and weddings (very often, blocks of rooms are rented just to partygoers, which can get noisy, but again, the staff is helpful).
They have an outdoor pool that is open in the summer months. In fact, they offer "day rates" where you can rent a room for a day just to take advantage of the pool.
The rooms themselves are very nice. Most have a coffeemaker and mini-fridge, and all have desks. The Inn offers efficiencies for long-term stays, which have a larger kitchen area (with bigger fridge, a microwave, and sink) as well as everything you'd find in a typical hotel room. They also have 4 suites which are quite nice: a very big bedroom with a TV, and then a separate living area with kitchen, dining table, couch, desk, and another TV. The rates are quite reasonable for a suite.
I highly recommend this hotel!
