Harrah's Casino Resort & Spa featuring The Pool, Atlantic City

Dirty, ill mannered, poorly equipped, I thought I was in an econo lodge, Would not go back for any price. Imagine being in a room with 3000 drunk Snookies.

First time to Atlantic City! Had a very small room over a roof..no view at all. Food was ALL way to expensive, like $3.50 for a cup of coffee or tea. Most staff were nice, but some very unfriendly. We traveled with Casino's Internatiional. They had no information booth at the hotel. They were there when we arrived and that was all. Never saw anyone after that day until we left. Flight was ok, but going I expected a fun trip. A 5 hr flight and we got 1 small bag of pretzels and had to beg for more than one drink. Not a very good impression for 1st timers.

We enjoyed our stay at Harrah's resort and casino in Atlantic City. This casino is not on the boardwalk but there are free shuttles to rewards members to the boardwalk. You can also catch a Jitney bus for $2.25 per person. We had a nice clean room with a nice view. We did eat out a lot as the restaurants in the casino are higher priced. The Eden lounge has great entertainment nightly free of charge. Our room was not an expensive one and was nice and clean. The housekeeping staff was great and obliging. We stayed 4 days and the only problem we had was that one night someone was arguing in a nearby room or the hallway and it was quite loud. After a while of this continuing, I called the front desk who put us on with security and the problem was resolved within minutes. I would stay here again, but I would choose to eat out if I did stay again.

Honestly, i do not have all the time to explain all the issues my husband and I went through for our Valentine/Anniversary wkend. (overnight stay) We are beside ourselves about the way we were treated and how unprofessional management is. All I know is we were locked (not locked, the door battery was dead, so after 3 times of going to the front desk which happened to be half way around the casino, we were finally told we had to sit in front of our rm. door and wait for a lock smith..which would take at least a half an hour. After, 40 min of waiting i went to the front desk , and noone even knew what was going on because the manager who was on duty went home. So, this 9th anniversary and valentine wknd could'nt have gotten any worse until they called security on me beacuase they didn't know what to do. So, i was escorted back to my florr by 2 sec guard to find finaaly the locksmith had just gotten there.. at this point i just wanted to go home but my husband and i went to dinner and then went to bed. This was the worst wknd of my life..not only valentines day or my anniversary or the fact that i have 2 little girls that we never have any time alone. we ate dinner and went to bed.. I will definately consult a lawyer.. never again will i go back to harrah's.

Ok, I was given the rate at check-in 139 + tax + 10= 168 per night, staying 2 nights. Room was good, bathroom ceiling peeling, bubbled, some mold in grout 3 towells for 4 people, one face cloth, 2 hand towells. All else was fine, adjoining room, alot of mold in bathroom! All food was outrageous in price, not to great in quality. Friends ate at buffet, much was cold, bad deal for 32.00 each! We had burgers, prev. frozen, but etible. Next day, I called housekeeping to ask for 4 complete sets of towells and would be leaving for about 5 hours(now 9 am) so they can clean the room. When we got back at 4 pm, the room was not made up, no towells, nothing!! Went down the hall and found a maid, gave my towells and got 4 sets and said we now want to rest, so we will live with unmade beds etc. Later, we decided to go up to the 4th floor pool and was not happy, it is only 3.5 ft deep, food all over the floor and in pool, chairs broken, the "jacuzzi" had one set of jets around the back, that is it!!! The other pool is in the middle of the restuarant area and too public for us. After dark there are xx rated activities at that pool also, no thanks to gay chocolate body painting! If you are a non smoker, there are non smoking areas but surounded by smoking sections. Eyes burned, nose stuffed up, sore thoat after a couple hours. Bad boys acting up and wanting to fight, I told security but they just said, don't worry, we have them on camera!!?? Check out time, price went up 114.00. for the stay of two nights, no one could help, no one in charge to talk to, basically, tough luck!! NEVER AGAIN !!

This place was absolute garbage. Staff is horrible. I booked a bachlorette party and when we checked in, they said the maid service was in our rooms. The guy was cursing left and right and although he was kidding around, it was inappropriate. They told us that we were able to get the ajoining rooms we asked for and to call in an hour to see if our room was ready well

The Pool is the worst place to go in Atlantic City. Not only is the water dirty, but the staff is terrible and arrogant at The Pool, and I would suggest going anywhere other than The Pool to party.

It was fun for the family, children, etc. i had sooooooo much fun. it sanitary, safe, and a time that is not wasted. if you want a good time in summer, go there. I recommend it to EVERYONE!

I am the writer of the previous review on 07/31/09 and would like to update the part of the review on the Reflections Cafe. In fairness to the Reflections Cafe, the discrepancy about the double gratuity was resolved on my credit card and I can now give them a clean review. The food was very good and the staff friendly, I wouldn't hesitate to dine there again. Latest ratings are for the Reflections Cafe only

Paid a discounted price of $49 a night for 2 nights (T/W) so I won't be too critical. Forty five minute wait to check-in and the clerks were clearly overworked but impatiently informative. Room was clean and adequate for our needs but we're not demanding travelers. Fastidious personalities could have a problem here. The hotel/casino is confusing to get around at first but good signage eventually puts everything together. There is much activity throughout the casino so I don't think that one can get bored unless they really try. The casino can be noisy in places but the noise can be easily avoided by retreating to one of it's many slot machine alcoves. Pool area is gorgeous and the corridor leading to the pool and buffet area is tastefully done and is lined with the expected high-end shops in this sort of venue. This part of the hotel also contains a few fast food eateries for those who don't care to spend alot. IMO the buffet was too pricey ($30) for what it delivered, I've had better at less cost in other places. We never ate in the high-end restaurants (we're small-timers). Reflections cafe-----uniquely designed and good food . Had a mid-afternoon meal here with a friendly waiter. One note: avoid using credit cards at the Reflections cafe as I was charged for a gratuity that I did not authorize. I had already left a generous tip in cash at the table and directly to the waiter and told that to the cashier when she asked if I would like to add a gratuity to my bill. She added it anyway and I have since learned that they have a habit of doing this to their patrons. Very unethical if not downright thievery. Pay cash! The treatment by table games personnel was spotty at best and covered both ends of the hospitality spectrum (excellent to very poor). I had words with one of the floor persons behind the blackjack tables over his not coming over to our bj table to take my rating card. When he did come over he had the temerity to tell me in a very surly tone that he was busy and that there were 4 people in front of me. I told him that if he stopped bull%$#&ing with the cocktail waitresses (that's the truth, he wasn't busy with other job-related duties) and did his job maybe he wouldn't be so backed up! This elicited a dagger-like stare and an unnerving session of blackjack. Generally speaking, Atlantic City Harrah's casino workers appear to be overworked, and although some try to be hospitable, their dissatisfaction is eventually reflected in their service to the hotel's patrons, very unfortunate! I would return to Harrah's AC Hotel/Casino at a rate of $49-89 but would not pay mid-three figures . Some of you might think that I was too critical but I assure you that I held back quite a bit.
