No complaints here
I normally don't post things especially on review sites, but I feel I must say something here. Before my husband and I left for our trip I read through most of these reviews and got very worried. I have been to Vegas twice before this recent trip and was beginning to wish I booked somewhere else. I am glad I didn't listen to what everyone had to say on this site. The hotel did NOT smell, the rooms are nice and cold (and we were there in mid-July), very clean, and the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We only waited about 5 minutes to check in. All of these "hidden fees" are not hidden, and are explained upon reservation. Also, every hotel in Vegas has these resort fees...it's just part of the package. Yes, you have to pay for internet, but again...that is everywhere! Yes, the casino smells like smoke a bit, but what hotel in Vegas doesn't??? I am a non-smoker and the amount of smoke I was smelling did not even phase me. Our room was great, hot tub and SUPER comfy bed. The only downside to staying here is the distance between the main part of the strip, but again....you know this going into it. We walked all the way down to Bellagio and taxied back. Another day we took the Deuce bus and it was only $7 for a 24 hour pass. If you want to be part of the "Vegas buzz" stay somewhere like New York New York or Excalibor. It is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. I would recommend the Stratosphere to anyone going to Vegas on a budget. We had a great time, and saved a bunch by staying there. We had a blast in the Casino, at the pool, and saw Bite which was awesome. We also rode the rides on the top and stayed up there admiring the view for atleast an hour. Definitely a must-do. Bottom line - don't listen to the negative reviews you read here. I found none of it to be true.
