Will never Go Back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/2/10
First of all, the surrounding area is under construction, looks bad an abandon. The night we stayed locals jumped over the pool fence and went swimming all night. Three days later the staff states the little puppy we took damaged the carpet and charged $50 for damages. Very upset and disappointed with this place. Avoid at all cause.

Try for better...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/10
I didn't want to spend time in the tiny room. The bed was uncomfortable, and it takes a while for your back to feel better. Bottom line, low budget, too much money for what u get.

Friendly staff, great price nice place to stay.
By Robert Grothaus, 6/27/10
Friendly staff, great fresh baked cookies at check in. Ok breakfast. Clean rooms a little noisy until little kids next door went to bed (10 pm). Comfortable king bed. Fridge and microwave in room.

Bad Service
By CALIKID, 8/28/08
Terrible customer service. Clean room but out-dated. Good for young couples and singles or people who just need a bed to sleep in at night and a hot shower. Great location. Take your hard earned money elsewhere..... maybe some place that appreciates your business.

This place is great!!
By Teddy Bear, 7/16/07
I was greeted by a wonderful hostess named Liz. She was vibrant and a pleasure to talk to. She was able to answer all of my questions and if I needed to know where anything was around town, she knew all the spots and gave me detailed directions. The rooms were clean and the beds were so relaxing. It's close to everything I wanted to go see and do. Then to top it all off they served a complimentary breakfast and it was delicious. I would definately recommend this place to anyone looking to relax. Just ask for Liz at the front desk.

Fine for the price
By S Ahern, 4/20/07
We came for a Renaissance Faire. Once we arrived we were sorry that we had prepaid our Ren Faire tickets -- the motel had free comps! This year we'll check in advance, and if Faire tix are part of the deal, we'll definitely return. We thought the room and service were basic but unobjectionalble. Nice beach nearby.

Not worth the money saved
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/06
The only thing good about this lodge was the fact that it was so cheap.. but after one night I understand why. We asked for extra towels at check in and was told it'd be a few mins but we had still yet to get the towels we requested when we checked out the next day. It was noisey, the cleaning service started early in the morning above us. The rooms were shabby, our comforter had stitching comming off and had holes in it. The matress was horrible and the sheets were thin and low quality. I suggest that you spend the extra money and stay at another place.

Our Lake Tahoe Motorcycle Run
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/06
What we really liked out was the friendly custormer service at the front desk, And the way the Handy personal were taking care of things through are entire stay from light bulbs to picnic benches someone was always at work improving things. The location is great close to all the attraction and this place is very, (POLITE)Biker friendly we will be staying here again next year. Thanks Again, "VIKING MOTOR LODGE" Sincerly, Dale C. Bennett
