Better than "just fine"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/24/07
Stayed two nights and days. Clean, friendly, great location to beach(Commons Beach Park),restaurants(Jake's and Christy Hills), bike baths, tour boat to Emerald Bay. Farmers Market ,old car show, music in park, fun place! Slow rafting if you like that kind of laid back thing. Park your car at hotel and walk everywhere! Cools off in evenings(no air conditioning)-safe to open windows-place fan in bathroom window and cools off room fast. Nice complimentary breakfast. Shops open at 10 AM and close at 6PM. Free internet connection at coffee shops and other local spots. Library two blocks away across street. Our next great stay was in South Lake Tahoe,CA.

A great deal for the price
By John B, 5/4/07
A clean comfortable room with breakfast and a nice view of Lake Tahoe for less than half the price of the room our friends had at a nearby ski resort. The 15 min to the resort was a very easy drive. Good value here and a friendly staff.

Good room, decent breakfast
By Craig, 4/8/06
The room was modern, well kitted out and there was a view of the lake. Good breakfast, shame about the french toast running out so quickly. Not bad for the money - have stayed in flea pits in South Lake Tahoe for similar rates.

Excellent experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/05
I stayed there one Saturday Night in October and I must say it was very enjoyable. The rooms are clean and well kept. Plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, etc...My experience with the office staff was pleasant. They were friendly and helpful. The view from the tower rooms is breathtaking. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family!

Nice and clean with a few nice touches
By Leonard, 8/2/05
Coffee grinder was a nice touch. Room was adequate but by no means large. Facility appeared to be recently remodeled inside although the outside looked tired. The environment was more like a motel than a hotel. Cars drive right up to the rooms on the first floor.

nice but little costly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/15/05
I visited tahoe last weekend (feb 12-13 weekend) with my friends (we were seven) and we stayed at 2 rooms in this hotel. We wanted to ski in squaw valley and hence decided to stay in tahoe city pepper tree. We reached late around 2am in the morning. seems like the office staff are not there for 24 hrs. So they had kept the key for my room in the mailbox. Thats good and bad in that they had the sense to keep the keys in the mail box but i expected office staff all the 24 hrs. But rooms were clean and good, ac worked well. there were lot of towels in the bathroom, soap, shampoo was available. Room had a coffee maker which we used to make cofffee in the morning. Rooom had a tv and microwave oven. Facilities in the room was good, but room was small. And i had to shell out 150 bugs for a night on saturday (may be its peak season) but i think its still little expensive.

NICELY REMODELED
By Dane, 9/7/04
Spent two nights and found them to be very comfortable in updated, clean facilities. Pool and jacuzzi were not working because of remodel. Reasonably priced. Great view from Tower rooms.
