Would never stay there again!
By lance, 2/28/12
The lobby was so smokey. Ventilation was really bad. Our room was dirty and noisy. The bathroom sink was cracked as was the shower enclosure. The bathroom was so small that you could not easily go in and close the door. There was a dead fly stuck to the wallpaper in the dressing area. In the shower the head was wobbly and shook during your shower. as it shook the water control dial moved as well and water shot everywhere. Huge mess during every shower. We were up late at a dance competition and was awoken at 7 am by the hum of a diesel delivery truck under our bedroom window on a Saturday morning. We had 2 double beds and there were 3 of us. 2 of the family had head colds and needed extra pillows to sleep. They gave us 2 ONLY and we had to call twice to get them. Originally the room only had 4 pillows and half of those were hard as rocks. The towels all had an awful smell..I was so disappointed and would never go back to that hotel again. The food was just okay. Nothing special. The only night we ate at the buffet was towards closing and most of the food was dry and cold. They had already started closing I guess 45 minutes early? Too many other hotels to choose from. Go elsewhere.

All a true Gambler needs!
By Nick, 6/29/10
A clean room, great staff, and low limit tables. I would say more, but I like that this place is a secret.

Gold Coast is the Best Deal in Vegas!!!!!!
By James, 5/14/10
Let me say to start, very friendly staff from check in to check out and every where in between. The room was clean and comfy. The restaurants where great (any thing you wanted to eat). The "Port O Call Buffet" was to die for. Just the "all you could drink" orange juice and milk at breakfast was worth the price. Bowling Center was right up my alley (I was there for a bowling tournament). Black Jack tables paid out like ATM's!! I had a great time and will go back for sure. Keep up the great work Gold Coast!!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
By Lestat, 1/3/10
I don't usually take the time to post reviews for bad experiences but this was too much. The background to the story is my stepfather is dying from Leukemia and this was a family gathering for what we think would be our last time with him. I had family coming to visit for Christmas and booked 3 rooms at the Gold Coast all with double beds in order to accommodate everyone in our party. Well what does the hotel tell us?they don't have enough double beds.then I asked for rollaway beds and they said they cost extra and you get one per room.I explained the problem to their supervisor and he was no help. This was embarrassing to me because how are people supposed to sleep comfortably. They still would not help. Also the beds had very badly done linens with stains and there was no comforter/duvet on the beds just badly done ugly sheets. The rooms came with 2 free lunch buffets as described on the website. they only gave us 2 for 1 room and had to beg for them to give us 2 more and never mind the first room they gave us nothing. Well when family tried to use the free lunch buffet they were told the free tickets did not apply to Dec 25 ...hello! we checked in on Dec 24 thru the 26th.what a joke!! Overall this hotel made me look like an Idiot to Family,I was trying to make everyone comfortable and instead it was a horrible Christmas ordeal. I would never stay there again nor would I recommend them.

I called the Gold Coast and asked them what they could give for a deal. Comped my rooms then at the end of the stay comped all of our food. I will always go back to the Gold Coast

Excellent value for price, good staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/08
We stayed here while attending a business convention being held at the Palms which is RIGHT across the street. It took us less than 5 minutes to walk across everyday. There is plenty of free parking and the rooms are remodeled with comfortable beds & flat screen TV's. The staff was courteous and helpful. The area felt very safe at all times. I didn't play at this casino but the craps tables always looked busy & fun. There is a coffee shop and Subway on the casino which is perfect for a quick breakfast. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget and looking for comfortable rooms. There's a free shuttle to & from the strip & it is only a wuick drive away if you have a car. Will be back again next month for the same convention.

Great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/9/08
Stayed here recently with my family on our family vacation. The place is located off strip a little but the free shuttle service to the strip that runs most of the day makes it very convenient. The rooms were clean with the plasma television being a nice touch. The 4 casino bars with friendly bar tenders are also great, (hint if you don't want to pay for drinks at the bar put a few bucks into one of the 25 cent video poker machines at the bar and you will drink for free while you play, you can get sauced pretty quickly here as you are not constantly waiting for the cocktail waitress. Both the buffet and the cafe are good. There were also quite a number of younger folks here, I saw in other reviews that the crowd is mostly older, I didn't find this to be the case. All in all Gold Coast gets a thumbs up!!

Best For The Price.
By Fred, 2/9/08
I strongly recommend this hotel because of its value. The regular rooms here were cleaner, and more up to date (If you know what I mean) then the king sweet at the MGM. If your looking for a great room thats clean and just short of a sweet without the price. It is located on Flamingo rd just a six dollar shuttle ride from the airport, next door to the Rio, and across the street from the Palms. If your on a budget, dont make the mistake I did, save some money, you dont need to rent a car. Everything you need to have a great time is right there, and the strip is a little less then a mile walk. This hotel has great food including a buffet. This is certainly my hotel of choice. Have a great time in a nice hotel and save hundreds.

CASINO VISIT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/25/07
I WAS NOT STAYING AT THE GOLD COAST,BUT I VISITED THE CASINO THEIR ,MY FLIGHT ARRIVED SOME 18 HOURS BEFORE MY FAMILY,I SPENT A LOT OF TIME THEIR,THE LAYOUT OF THE CASINO WAS MY FAVORITE OF ALL THE CASINOS I VISITED,I ALSO WON MORE THERE THAN ANY CASINO I VISITED WHILE IN VEGAS,AS FOR MY FIRST TIME ENTERING IT WAS THE FIRST PLACE I COULD FIND TO PARK EASY WITH I BELIVE 2 OR 3 LEVEL DECKS,ON THE STRIP IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND PARKING ,I WOULD SUGGEST A SHUTTLE IF IT IS YOUR FIRST VISIT TO VEGAS,I NEVER DID FIND OUT WHERE TO PARK FOR THE NEW YORK HOTEL IT WAS ONE PLACE I WANTED TO VISIT, AS FOR MY FIRST ENTRANCE TO THE GOLD COAST CASINO IT WAS CLEAN AND HAD A LOT OF CHINISE VISITORS,I WAS SOMEWHAT ON GUARD AT FIRST . BUT I SEEN THIS WAS A SAFE CASINO AND THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL IN HELPING ME LEARN MY WAY AROUND,AS FOR A COKE TO DRINK IF YOU VISIT THE BOWLING IN THE GOLD COAST YOU GET A BIGGER AND BETTER PRICE,I HAD A MIDNIGHT MEAL IN A SMALL CAFERTERIA THEY HAD IT WAS ONLY AROUND 6 .75 OR SO FOR A GOOD MEAL,THEIR WAS A BAND PLAYING BEATLES MUSIC AND SOME OTHER FAVORITES ,THEY WAS THE BEST BAND I HAVE SEEN IN A WHILE EVEN THE STAFF LOOKED WITH AMAZEMENT AT HOW GOOD THEY WERE, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GET A CARD WHILE VISITING THE MORE YOU PLAY THE MORE POINTS YOU RECIVEI ALSO RECIVED A EMAIL IN NOV FOR A 25.00 A NIGHT ROOM.I VISITED IN MARCH OF 07 THE 10 THRU THE 14,I PLAN TO VISIT AGAIN SOMEDAY.I HAFT TO SAY I WOULD SUGGEST THE LADIES WEAR SOME NICER OUT FITS,ALL I CAN SAY IS VEGAS BABY!!
