Don Laughlins Riverside Resort Hotel And Casino, Laughlin

We had read reviews on the Buffet at Riverside Resort Hotel before we left, but, we were stupid enough to not listen. The food looks great, but is terrible at the Buffet. We had a certificate for a free Prime Rib dinner at the hotel (Prime Rib Room). The meat looked like it had had water poured on it and grew to a piece of prime rib. Nothing we ate had any flavor at all, including the sour cream, butter, salad dressings, mushrooms or the au jus. When we told the waiter he seems really surprised that we didn't like the food. I am glad it was free, because I would never had paid for it. My husband and I took one bite of the prime rib and wondered what in the world it was. Guess people are not suppose to know what prime rib really tastes like. The ventilation system needs to be updated. It does not filter out the smoke or stale old carpet as well as it could. Of course, I could compain how tight the machines are, but that is happening at all casinos. This isn't unique to this hotel and casino. The customer service staff, cocktail and restaurant waitress', waiters, change personnel, front desk were excellent. The view from the room was excellent. Probably would never stay there again. I would rather spend the extra money and stay at Harrahs'. Food is so much better, air is cleaner.

Needs to be updated. Smokey, dark, plastic landscaping, no pool bar, non-heated pool, bad food. Laughlin has nothing, and neither has Lake Havasu.

We have been to the Riverside 5 times now. Would I return for the a sixth time, YES. But, 5 times in a row our reservation has been messed up, ask for one room or tower, get the other etc. The workers in the Riverside Resturant and the buffet are not the most helpful people in the world. What do you expect? College grads with perfect manners? Not happening anywhere in Laughlin! The rooms are alright. Old, but how much time do you spend in the room anyways? Overall, the price is right, it's relaxing (once they get your reservation right), there's two pools, and a ton of things to do other than gamble. The last being why it's the best in Laughlin.

The Riverside is the best in Laughlin, We have been doing the charters for 6 years and I did many trips before that to the Riverside. The service, rates and people can not be beat!!! It is the best!!!

This is the second time in two years that we have been to the Riverside. The dealers are very friendly. The food is excellent. Had a great view of the river from our room. I like the idea of the shuttles to the golf courses. The charter flight was superior. Will be going back.

my husband and I go on the charter flights almost every month of the year to Riverside hotel and casino..We feel so at home there..the staff is totally wonderful to us..Our rep.Jim is fantastic...He always is there to greet us and tend to anything we need.,.The rooms and food is fantastic...The casino is wonderful...The gift shops are all great and enjoyable...we dont like to go to any other casino or hotel anymore..we have gotten spoiled with Riverside and their complete and wonderful goodness to us..we love it and continue to go there as often as we are able...shirley and robert henderson...san angelo, tx. 76904

LOSER LOUNGE NOT SO SAFE, BIKER GANG BEATING UP PEOPLE. SECURITY NO HELP (AFRAID) THAT KIND OF CROWD NOT ONE WE PREFER TO BE AROUND. GO TO TARZANS AT GOLDEN NUGGET MUCH BETTER PLACE TO BE!

We've been there several times and enjoy it. Food is adequate to good. A little smokey in casino for us non-smokers, even in non-smoking area. Main concern is not knowing what to expect when we get there for a room. We're told one thing and get another. Asked for non-smoking in No.Tower, lower floor room. Got South Tower near the top! The door & floor said non-smoking. When we arrived the room had not been cleaned and there were at least 6 full ash trays. Cigarette and cigar packs all around, We called housekeeping and they did get right on it right away. However, again, it was in South Tower high up. Friends, we brought for 1st time, were on North Tower 6th Floor. (Would have liked to change, but were told no, yet later were told some people changed!?) Our friends felt lost,confused and said they would not go back adn they even won money enough to pay for their trip! We're trying to coax them back with us, If we could be closer, I am sure they would come back. The staff, for the most part, is accomodating and friendly. But reservations could use some lessons on smiling and being more accomodating. We've gone to other casinos along the boardwalk, even the newer Aquarius, but they are show and that's it! Not near as friendly or helpful as Riverside. We'd like to come back after first of year and plan to. We've brought other couples with us on trips and, on one occasion, family. We would like to bring my sister and husband, but are afraid we'd be too far apart in they too would be discouraged. The waitresses and other staff are always very friendly and make us feel welcome. Also the Players Club staff, when you get to the front of the line, do a good job of answering questions. Overall I like the Riverside better than Vegas casinos! We do a lot of traveling and enjoy the comforts they offer. We don't need a huge room as we spend most of our time on the casino floor. But, when we are in our room, we do prefer the North Tower with a balcony on the river...and lower floor. The best room we had, I admit, was an Executive Room with a balcony and river view on the 10th floor of the south tower. We'd come nearly every month, during the winter, if we know we could have a room like that was. Don Laughlin, I might add, is a true gentleman. Talking with some of the staff, during our visits, they speak very highly of him...and that says something, in itself. We've heard these comments when the staff didn''t know we were within earshot also, so we know they are true. That is probably why they are so helpful...he has to set the example. And that he does!

HAVE WROTE MANY REVIEWS FOR THIS RESORT AND THERES NOTHING WE DON,T LIKE. ALWAYS STAY HERE.WILL BE THERE THIS MONTH ALONG WITH OUR RELATIONS

we have been going to the riverside for several years. it has been a good value and our experience a good one every trip. i have noticed the last couple years it has went down hill in the looks dept. we are going to try another hotel this trip to compair
