Don Laughlins Riverside Resort Hotel And Casino, Laughlin

The day we arrived started out very nice, but before we knew it we were in the middle of a major GLASS STORM. The glass that over looks the river blew in it was like something you would see in the movies. We were very disappointed that we were never contacted after the initial id taking. We have been trying to get in touch with the claims dept. every since we have been home and they have not answered there phones, emails or faxes. I'm not asking for alot but there are a few things I strongly believe they should take responsibility for. The next day after we were covered in glass they didn't even come in to change the sheets, give us new towels or clean the tub which was full of glass, dirt and blood. If anyone reading this can give me some information on how to get them to respond or any legal advice I would appreciate it.

The room was dirty and smelled really bad. Despite the fact we were on the 22nd floor, both the sink and shower drains didn't drain and were backed up. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the neighbors. We were charged for a first class room and got dirt. Complaints to the staff and management were met with shoulder shrugs and an "oh well" attitude. They had our money and didn't care that it was an awful stay for us. Don't waste your time or money on this hotel.

100711 I reserved a room at the last minute. I was told the cancellation policy is 48-hours. I booked less than 24. I had to cancel about 15 minutes after booking. Mary, at the reservation desk made it happen without a loss. That's customer appreciation. Thanks Mary... M.

We travel with our pets an stay in a lot of hotels yours was a dump it smelled like a dog kennel and sounded like on. To top it off the smoke from the other rooms came thru the air that didn't work good.. the slider door didn't shut all the way at the top so bugs came in . There was a noise that was so loud we couldn't sleep called 4 times to let them no and it was not ever taken care of it .. it was someone left there door open a little on the upper floor so the wind went through .. To top it all when we went out to load our car someone had got on top of our 1 yr old BMW and caved in the roof of our car and security wouldn't do anything.... WILL NEVER BE BACK

We got a free room offer from them and got a room with no view at all. The room was dirty and depressing. Hair from the previous guests were stuck to the shower/bath walls, the mirrors and carpets were dirty, there was no extra toilet paper and no spoons to mix the coffee with. Since I spent a lot of money in their casino in the past I felt offended by their offer. I get free offers from Las Vegas hotels as well and in LV I get to choose my room and many times get upgraded to a suite if they have it available and here I got a dirty little room in the basement. Please, save it and give your generous offer to somebody else next time.

I stayed in the south tower (newer one) last time I went, I was very happy with my room, the maid service was great......had a wonderful view of the River and Bullhead City I am now waiting for the Riverside to put Columbus Ohio BACK on the schedule for the room and flight package deal

this was my first time staying at riverside and was happily surprised at the hotel and casino check in was easy and you only have a $2key deposit unlike other hotels that require 100 or more also make sure you get at least 2 keys since you need one key for the power toy our room i know sounds weird but it keeps their energy cost down all i did was wait awhile for housekeeping to get thru with my room and put the key back in so that the room stayed cool housekeeping is really fast and restaurants where great the cafe i recommend the hot turkey sandwich it must have had a pound of turkey or more with a great gravy buffet was alright nothing special bingo room is nice size and very nice to new commers so don't be afraid if you never played before this is the room to start at they call slow and are very courteous especially dawn on nite shift

We liked the slot payout as compared to the other casino's in Laughlin. The bowling alley was very nice. Loved the car exhibits! The buffet left a lot to be desired and I would not recommend it to anyone (stale bread, very small, old, unappealing desserts etc...). One waitress was very nice and the other the opposite. Even though you put your own cash into the machines, the payout is a printed ticket. You have only 30 days from the date you received the ticket to get your money from their casino. If you forget to cash in your tickets and do not get back there prior to the 30 day period, they keep YOUR money. Every where you go, you see a tip container. The cashier @ the buffet wants tips along with the cashier in the jewelry store. We laughed @ the idea of tipping people for simply taking your money, how very tacky!

I liked the location of the property and the covered parking with the heat that comes with being in Laughlin (up to 116 during our stay). Although most of the staff were very helpful and friendly I did have issues with the room and upon check out. The batteries in the tv control did not work which wasn't a big deal but the morning we got up to leave we could not make a pot of coffee (didn't work). They have a program to conserve electricity (commendable) and you have to put your key card in a slot by the door in order to get any electronic device (including a/c) to work. Although it says so next to the door in small print and they have a piece of paper showing directions at the front desk nothing was EVER explained by the front desk employee upon check in. We decided to go down to the cafe and have breakfast, check out, then go get our bags from the room and leave the key there. Unless you physically take the key to the desk they will charge you $2.00 for each key so we ended up having to go back up, get our stuff, wheel our suitcases down to the casino floor and then back up to take the walkway to the parking garage. They were doing construction (taking down drywall) and had it blocked so we were forced to go down again to the casino floor and all the way across it in order to take an escalator back up on the other side of the construction. My complaint is this. I was travelling with my 70+ year old mother. Admit it, much of Laughlin's patronage comes from the senior community. To not explain electronic/computerized gadgetry upon check in is a huge mistake and the fact that my elderly mother had to make 3 trips up and down in order to just get to the car is a big thing. I will most definitely stay in another of the establishments in Laughlin for any future visits. We do have charter flights out of several locations where I live and have considered doing one but after this experience I will wait until there is a charter through a different casino/resort.
