Enjoyed Bill's....not so sure I will like Drai's

Like a lot of people said, you get what you pay for. I was not happy that for a 4 night stay, someone pulled the fire alarm at 2am on two separate occasions. When a complaint was registered with the front desk, all I was offered was a couple extra hours for check out. The casino is small (and does NOT comp bottle beers) and doesn't offer a lot of the bells and whistles that other casinos do.
One advantage to the smaller casino is the waitresses are around a lot longer. The comp beer might only come in 6oz. glasses, but when the waitress is by every 5-10 minutes it works out well. The Victorian was a little high priced but I found the portions were rather large (and the prices were in check with just about every other casino). I might have chosen to pay the extra $$ and eaten a buffet every day. No buffet and small gift kiosk might be a drawback for some people.
Bill's has a great location on the strip, right in the middle. We went in July and had the AC running constantly so street noise was not an option. The rooms are average size for most hotels. Bathroom was very small. Small hanger bar in bathroom and no safe for valuables. But since most of our time was spent out of the room these things did not matter.
Pool access was at the Flamingo pool. A 5 minute walk to get there. Since we went in July, the place was packed. It was more of a spring break feel than I hoped for so I walked away after 10 minutes (darn, i am old).
I would recommend this hotel if you are only in your room for sleeping and showering. Not a place for families with small kids or people seeking top notch amenities. As we were leaving (my wife won $100 in comps that we found out just before we left), the cashier at the "gift shop" mentioned that the hotel will be renamed Drai's (after the bar downstairs) within the next year. I got a funny feeling it will be a little more upscale next time.
