I came to Lewistown to visit my sister and we decided to go and eat in the restaurant there and ended up waiting over 20 minutes for a table. I would understand if the place were packed but there were only 3 other tables full. The hostess was rude and acted like we were disrupting her time. After we finally got sat down no one came and said anything to us for at least 10 minutes. Two people came in after us and the waitress went up to them almost instantly and got their drinks, as she was walking by she said to us that she would be back to take our order in a minute. Another 5 minutes later she came out of the back, walked past us and got the order from the table that got there after us. We decided to give her one more chance and see if she would take our order after finishing the other table but we were let down yet again. She finished with that table and as she walked by ours looked at all of us and our stacked menus in the middle of the table and just walked by. We got up and left after that making it over an hour we waited for a table and someone to even acknowledge we were there. NEVER GOING BACK and I would suggest no one ever does!

Stay there once a year

Wife and I are from the area and stay at the Yogo every year when we go back to visit family. I travel a lot with my work and have stayed in just about every type of hotel you can imagine so I consider myself to be a fair judge on hotel quality. The Yogo is in a constant state of upgrading but overall it is a 2-star hotel. It is not to the level of a Holiday Inn Express or a Hampton Inn, it is more along the lines of a Super 8. The advantage it has over the other small hotels in town is the retaurant which was remodeled recently. The restaurant service good quality meals at a reasonable price. Staff are very accommodating, The overall building condition is fair but not impressive. The individual room quality will vary on when your room was last upgraded. Some of the rooms are quite old and we occassionally get one that is pretty musty smelling but you can request a change and they'll accommodate you if they can. Bottomline, I think it's the best option in the area.

THE BEST STAY EVER!!!

The Yogo Inn has the very best, clean rooms I've ever stayed in. They were very helpful and courteous and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and told me about some very good fishing spots. I had a very wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel over every other in lewistown.

Surprise

We have stayed here several times over the years and usually left thinking we would never go back...we stayed here again this Dec and we discovered there is a new owner who has decided to totally redo the hotel...we found a new mattress, new shower head, new furniture, newly painted room and much nicer towels...more important everyone seemed very friendly and helpful....obviously the new management are pros. Finally the Yogo Inn is a great place to stay

Can't get response to request for rates

This facilities internet site does not provide rates for their facility. I have sent two requests for rates and their site promises a response within 24 hours (which is an issue in itself) and I have as yet not recieved a return email. I didn't want to make a reservation, I just wanted to get information on rates so I could make plans for multiple trips to the area in 2007. I had hoped to try this facility again after a not so great experience earlier this year. My advice...Don't pay the premium rate for a room around the pool! It is loud...you go to sleep hearing swimmers and you wake up to swimmers in the morning and a chlorine headache if your room is pool side. I share this knowing that it probably is one of the nicer more convient facilities in Lewistown...but it just lacks that wonderful western hospitality I so look forward to when traveling in the west.

DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

I travel to Lewistown a few times a year. As I am orginally from Lewistown, I come home to visit my family and friends. I made reservations at the Yogo Inn and no problems there. But from the moment I arrived until the moment I left I was nothing short of disappointed! The staff was snotty, the shower would go from scolding hot to freezing cold every few seconds, the room was nothing more than average and we didn't even get to swim (which is why I got a room at the Yogo)! We were unable to swim because the pool had been reserved for a party, image how disappointed my kids where and how furious I was that I was not informed of this before a paid $100, for one lousy night! Even after we complained to the front desk twice, we where not offered a discount, or even so much as an appology. But the staff certainly gave us enought attitude to last us a couple of months! Me being from Lewistown myself would suggest the Super 8 over the Yogo or maybe even the B&B!

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in!

Stayed July 22-July 24...will never stay there again! Beware that this is the least family friendly place you could find! I made my reservations three months in advance and checked on my reservations two time in the months leading up to our stay. 1. Upon arrival, they had messed up our reservations and me, my spouse and our five kids ending up sleeping in two rooms on different sides of the hotel. (I had reserved pool side adjoining rooms...only to later find out upon arrival that the hotel doesn't even have adjoining rooms) The receptionist was extremely rude and said, "Oh well, people make mistakes". 2. Our rooms were filthy to include dirty bedding and the floor had not been vaccuumed. 3. The bathroom sink faucet was missing. 4. The tub didn't drain for my luke warm shower. 5. Smoking was permitted inside every area of the hotel. 6. The pool, what can I say, make sure you wear some pool shoes, the mold was crawling out of the pool and on to the ancient carpet. 7. I could keep explaining why this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but you should get the picture by now and make your reservations at the Super 8 down the road.
